The worst Outback experience my family has had. We visited here out of convenience, we waited just a little over an hour for our food and received our food after the table next to us and they came in 15-20 minutes after we did. The food was absolutely disgusting. Restaurant wasn’t busy. We’ve all worked in food service before, we know how it works but this wasn’t it. Definitely ruined Outback for us altogether.

So this is getting a super low rating because the waitress was absolutely HORRIBLE! I’ve worked in this industry for 30+ years. It’s very rare for me to go online to complain about such things. I have actually sat and weighed it (should I / shouldn’t I?). I normally have a conversation with management and leave it at that, but in this case I already had, since they ultimately waited on us…. So here we are.
Before I fully get into it though…. Our food was amazing and aside from the experience with the staff, we were comfortable. I got the Alice Springs Chicken, my mother had Shrimp (HUGE! They looked more like prawns). Can’t recall what dad ordered but he ate it all with a vengeance! Lol. Everything was clean… no other complaints. Only complements to the kitchen!!!! They did an excellent job and we greatly appreciate their hard work!!!
To the rest: My son and I were sat and waiting for two other people to arrive. We got our drinks (water) right away but then well after the others arrived we were completely ignored. Finally someone stopped by to see how we were doing. My son and I actually wanted to order other drinks but the opportunity never really lent itself, it was such a rushed experience, so they missed out on additional sales too…. Anyway, I let her know that we had been ignored/ forgotten, I also mentioned that I work in the industry, indicating to her that even with a certain amount of understanding this was unacceptable. (Mind you, two orher tables had been sat and they were immediately greeted by the same waitress.) The team lead or manager got the rest of the drinks and eventually ended up taking our orders. She was also the one that checked on us later. Presumably a food runner brought our food to us, which is perfectly acceptable. Just clarifying for posterity the amount of people we saw that WERE’NT our waitress. (The person who’s supposedly earning the tip!!!) We only saw her two other times through the whole meal. 1) She refilled one drink and 2) dropped the check off. If I treated my customers like this I wouldn’t have any.
Apparently she doesn’t have any bills to pay…. Even when the other team member / manager(?) got involved it was bare minimum at best. No apologies or recognition was issued/assumed. I understand when people are busy. I get there too. The weeds are a tough place to be…. But I always stop by and let people know I’ll be there shortly, apologize for delays, and start by thanking people for their patience. ***Communication*** is everything and a simple apology for delays goes a long way. When you can’t be there on time, OWN IT!!!! We will NOT be going back to this location anytime soon. Hope this waitress/ possibly bartender was spoken to! The fact that she couldn’t even stop by till the very end is reprehensible in this industry. Buck up!!!! I certainly do! Especially if I’m in the wrong!!!! If she can’t handle it, she shouldn’t be in it!
