I went to this location for the first time on my birthday and had the best experience! From the ambience, to the food quality, to the excellent service from our waiter Rocky, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious dinner!
I ordered grouper with broccoli & rice and it was phenomenal. Everything came out hot and seasoned to perfection!
Kudos to the team here at Bonefish! Great job!

Our family went for a birthday celebration. The food is inconsistent each time I go. The atmosphere amd the staff make up for the inconsistency.

Went at 7pm on a Sunday. We ordered the Unicorn fish, which was served to us mostly raw. Waitress took it back, eventually brought out a much smaller entree, at least cooked. No apology from management. Waitress was great but new and didn’t know the menu

Just ate at the Virginia Beach location. The only star in the overall experience wholly belongs to Keisha at the bar. Thank goodness for her because the food was terrible. Ordered the wahoo, whipped potatoes, and asparagus. The wahoo was as dry as you can get and was blackened grilled (was not described as blackened on the menu so perhaps it was over seasoned?), the asparagus tasted “dirty” and under seasoned, the whipped potatoes were watery. Husband orders the butterfish with jasmine rice, and sautéed spinach and garlic. The garlic was burnt which turned the spinach side dish very bitter and inedible. The pan-Asian sauce was underwhelming. The butterfish itself was fine as that is hard to overcook. Because there were so many items cooked improperly I didn’t have confidence that sending my dish back would meet expectations. That being said, the side of warm bread with olive oil dip was good. We enjoyed Keisha’s company and sadly won’t be back to see her again unless dipping in for only a drink with her at the bar. Edited to add: Was reflecting on how disappointing the food (still in my head because of how bad it was) and was thinking maybe it was just a bad day considering how good the overall reviews are, which are what made us try it in the first place.
