  be aware that shelf tags are often not reflective of current pricing. on my most recent visit, 3 tags did not reflect sale prices in the weekly ad. if the shelf tag is wrong, I don't buy the item. I prefer to spend my dollars locally but a food lion is not hard to find in my area!

  I called about not getting mozzarella cheese from our instacart order(no substitution was even offered), the feminine sounding man on the phone said "I don't get why that's an issue." When I asked if they have it in the store he said "if the driver couldn't find it than it's not there." I told him I have never went into this foodlion and not seen mozzarella cheese mind you. And he proceeded to hang up on me, when I called back he pretended like he didn't hear me. Then he called me back and when I repeated myself he lectured me in a very condescending way calling me immature for inquiring about this issue and he asked me "why can't you get your own groceries?" The whole point of getting instacart is that you don't have to. I also asked to speak the the manager twice and this man pretended to not hear me both times. Then he proceeded to hang up on me for the third time, I never insulted him either. And this is a repeated issue we have had with this service. I also went to the store to check if they had the cheese and low and behold it was there.
