I placed an order at 7:12 through the app and was given an estimated time of 28-36 minutes for it to be ready for pick up. The person picking it up for me arrived there at 7:40 but said the screen inside still had the order listed as another 28 minutes before it would be ready. I check my app, which says the pizza had started being prepared at 7:12 (when I had placed the order) and had not yet been put in the oven. It's not until 7:48 that a notification pops up from the app saying "your pizza is in the oven". So after 36 minutes of prep, it was finally being cooked. It was ready and on the way to me at 7:55. I could understand if they were making pizzas in house from scratch, but they aren't. Prep time normally takes 10 maybe 15 minutes at most, not nearly 40. I called the store to ask what had happened with my order for it to take so long and the girl just said "There is about an hour wait time". I explain to her the time the app told me it would be ready was around 35 minutes. She says that it is out of her control so I ask to speak to a manager or a higher level to sort this out. She tells me that she is the manager and there is nothing she can do. I explain to her that I am frustrated at what should have been a 35 minute wait, had turned into an hour with no updates or anything on what was going on. She adds at the end of the phone call "but it did leave hot and fresh". Not sure how fresh it could be if it sat in the back for 36 minutes waiting to be put in the oven but sure, whatever🤦🏼‍♀️ I hung up the phone out of frustration but I am very disappointed in Dominos. Not only the awful wait time, but the lack of customer service is shocking, especially coming from a manager. We order from this Dominos frequently and love the food, but the service is flat out terrible. We will likely choose the nearby Papa Johns from here on out.

I’m a little bit disappointed with my recent order from this Domino’s on Old Franklin Turnpike at Kroger. I ordered 2 medium handmade pan pizzas, but received thin crusts instead. The employee explained that their pan pizzas are made on a regular, thin crust, just in a round metal pan.. which is completely false.. I’ve always known that pan pizzas are made with fresh dough pressed into a pan, which is different from how thin crusts are prepared. While I guess I appreciate the employees attempt to explain, we couldn’t agree on the difference. Rather than have them remake the order, I opted for a refund. I’m not sure I’ll return to this location soon, as I was hoping for a smoother experience.. on a brighter note, the Pizza Hut pizzas I got were great!
