  I took a walk to the Capitol building during a conference at the convention center and stumbled upon this place when looking around for an early lunch — the perfect pick-me-up during a long day! The scotch egg was everything I wanted it to be and the service was phenomenal.

  Traveling for work with Celiac is tough, I usually eat a lot of salads. However, a coworker recommended the GF fish and chips here and it did not disappoint! First time in almost a decade I've had fried fish. Very tasty and the staff was very knowledgeable about Celiac safety. 5/5

  Im a regular visitor to this establishment. The food is usually always tasty and the atmosphere is usually good. Also the wait time is usually reasonable. But after my visit last night, I will not be returning.The wait for food was around 30 minutes. And it wasn't that many patrons in the establishment. But the one action that really made me write this review was when I and my guests witnessed the owner in the kitchen area yell and almost attack the only employee. It was a very traumatic experience for me because I know the racism that people of the Asian community have towards people of color. We as a community have to not spend our money where people of our ethnicity is not welcome.

  $178 for 6 fish & chips no drinks - 1 hour wait time for food and still charged .50 for extra tartar. My boss was in town so 6 of us went there for lunch and the place was half full with most people already eating. No lie, 50 minutes later the place had cleared out and we still had not gotten our food. We all ordered the only thing on the menu - fish and chips. We were having a good time talking so the time flew but when we asked the server how much longer she got snarky and said it was a full restaurant when you came in and there is only one cook and she goes in order and she will check. We only kindly asked how long lady, no need to get defensive and chide us for asking after 50 minutes. The server had mobility issues so it took another 10 minutes to be told that it was coming in 5. I saw then in the open kitchen the cook pick up a piece of fish and put it in the fryer - so only just starting the orders. Wow. 20 minutes later we ate. The food was meh, not bad, not great. The paper they put it on is plastic coated and tears with the fork and you end up eating it. I asked for another TINY plastic ramekin of tartar. THE BILL FOR 6 FISH AND CHIPS NO DRINKS - $178. 20% AUTOMATIC TIP for AWFUL service. The owner came over prior to apologize for the wait and walked away. But, they still charged $.50 for the extra tartar hahhha. Couldn't have thrown that in for our troubles? The door to the bathroom outside and in was FILTHY so I can only imagine the kitchen. All it takes is a sponge and some soap to clean that, don't they see it!? One and done. RESPONSE TO RESPONSE: While I can understand your wanting to defend your new establishment your server is blatantly lying to you and your time is inaccurate. The only thing we were told upon arrival is that your Indian or Thai portion of the menu was not available and would we still want to stay. I have the timestamp of the uber we took straight there from the office 5 min away and straight back and all said it was an hour and a half.

  Just made it back to the hotel after ordering take out. Three or so blocks in the evening light rain, and the food was still hot and fresh. My wife and I got the scotch egg, the spring rolls, mushy peas, cod and chips, and haddock and chips. Every single thing we had was delicious. 10/10. Both the cod and the haddock were packed full of flavor. The mushy peas were divine. The scotch egg went well with the sauce that was provided. The spring rolls were crispy and tasty. We live about 3 hours away, but come through Richmond often. This will be a staple of our visits.
