  My wife made reservations for us here for my birthday. We were slow to try it after moving to Richmond since it is a chain and there are so many local restaurants to try. Fleming's did not disappoint though. The sourdough bread with cheese was great. We ordered a tomahawk to split with a salad and the chipotle mac and cheese. The salad was good... it was a salad, what do you expect? The tomahawk was cooked to perfection and delicious. But that mac and cheese is ridiculous. I want to go back to immediately for the mac n cheese. The wine selection is great, and the martinis were very well made. The service was spot on. Will be going to the happy hour soon.

  My husband and I are new to Richmond and this was our next steakhouse to try in the area on our list and our service here Saturday evening exceeded all our expectations. The added "Birthday" table setting is something special you don't see very often any more with restaurants and it really does make the customer feel appreciated for booking a researvation and chosing to dine there on a special occassion. We were able to enjoy a lovely steak dinner where we split a perfectly cooked Tomahawk with some of the best mac and cheeese we've ever had and the server kindly split our salad for us to share as well before the dinner. The signature martini served with caviar is one of the best cocktails I have had in a long time and the red wine selection was extensive with some great options from Spain (our preferred region). Our server was exceptional and attentative and we will 100% be back again. He shared all the weekly specials and encouraged us to sit at the bar next time we dine for happy hour to experience that as well. 10/10 exceeded our expectations and will be returning soon.

  2/15 my boyfriend and I had the worst experience we ever had at Fleming’s that was until I asked for another server. We had reservations for 745 got there on time, was seated. Server one came over spoke to us about the menu said he would bring us water and bread and vanished. I literally watched him stand in the kitchen at one point like he had nothing to do. Our table had no water or bread 25 minutes into our dining experience. He then kept walking past our table like nothing was wrong. Frustrated, I then had to ask another server to help us who did an exceptional job at turning our night around and was tipped generously for it. The first server NEVER apologized for avoiding us but kept walking by our table all night he was quick to take my boyfriend’s plate up at the end though, I guess that was his form of an apology if not, to rush us to leave. Not sure if he assumed he wouldn’t get a good tip from us in the beginning so he didn’t want to wait on us but he was rude. Plus, my boyfriend and I tip handsomely when the service is up to par. We asked our second server several times if the tip we left would be for him only as we did not want the first server to get a cut of his money. We do Fleming’s on big occasions & this is the first bad experience & I could not be silent about it. Our second server even sent us home with a complimentary slice of cheesecake for our troubles. He turned a crappy beginning to a great dining experience all while working the bar as well. I don’t know his name but he deserves a raise!

  I had an extremely disappointing experience here. The service was painfully slow from the start — our waiter even forgot to put our order in, which resulted in us waiting over an hour just to receive our food. When the food finally arrived, the order was completely wrong. I specifically ordered my steak medium, but what was brought out was a lukewarm rare steak. The most frustrating part was how this was handled by management. Instead of acknowledging the mistake or attempting to make things right, the manager tried to argue that the steak was actually medium rare. The only explanation offered was that it was a holiday and they were busy. While I understand that holidays can be hectic, that’s not an excuse for forgetting orders, long wait times, or getting basic requests wrong — especially something as simple as the correct temperature on a steak. Overall, the lack of accountability and unwillingness to address obvious issues made this experience even worse than the poor service and incorrect food. I would not recommend dining here based on this experience.

  Well, today is valentine’s Day I knew that the restaurant was gonna be busy but the amount of money that you would pay in this restaurant you would think you’d have better service. Got to the bar because they were late for our 8:15 pm reservation after eating an advertiser finally got seated didn’t get served until 30 minutes later never got any bread. I was told there was no more which was a lie cause everybody else was getting bread didn’t get served until 30 minutes. Here it is 10 o’clock don’t even have my food. Worked so hard today didn’t eat anything just to eat a steak and now they don’t even know if it’s even on the grill. Call the manager he bypassed us, went to the server to come over. Poor service on the manager shame on you. However, talk to Katie another manager she said she is willing to box. Our dinner totally on Fleming and give us a credit for her next time.. Now that was a professional way to handle things. Didn’t get to eat at the fancy restaurant but do hope we can get something soon before they close. 10:08 we just got our food boxed up by Katie.
