They go out and gather all the food into one convenient place, and then common folk like me, can come in and just peruse and purchase anything you can dream of. Gone are the days of a guy like me, having to struggle and CHASE DOWN some big ol bison or grow and harvest a fruit or vegetable field..na food lions has ya back son!! <3 And then I remember, this one time years and years ago...I was just a kid 5 or 6 maybe, and we had a food lions down by the house , down in texas... And this one Halloween (I think we had all just seen the lion king too) I was dead set on being the Food lions..so I took two paper bags from them and cut two little leg holes in the pants and cut out arm holes, eyes and a mouth on the top bag and drew whiskers around the mouth...TO THIS DAY, IT IS THE SICKEST HALLOWEEN COSTUME ANYONE HAS EVER DONNED ...WE ALL HAVE SOO MUCH TO THANK OF FOOD LION AND WE ALL NEED TO REMEMBER WHEN THOSE LINES GET A LITTLE LONG, TO BE THANKFUL FOR THE OPPERTUNITY TO EXCERCISE OUR PATIENCE.

Whether the line is just one person in front of you, or Judgement Day long...it's always slow. And there are usually employees walking around, doing things, stuff, but never hopping on a register and making this process go a little quicker. This is definitely not the place to come to if you're in a rush. And the prices leave a lot to be desired, as is the case with Food Lion's in general. So unless you're extremely close and/or this is the best you can do, I'd avoid this place at all costs...which are usually cheaper anywhere else.
