- JCJanice CariensMay 23, 20221.0In the past, I have been a big fan of Subway sandwiches but I have stopped going into my neighborhood store, or any Subway store, as Subway is continuing their operations in Russia. Over 400 companies (Starbucks, McDonalds, Coca-Cola, Renault, etc.) have stopped operations or moved out of Russia after that country's invasion of Ukraine. Subway has "refused to pause" its operations despite the invasion citing it is too difficult to close down. I will no longer be supporting any Subway store. "Jersey Mike's" sub stores should be picking up a lot of Subway's business...I think they are excellent, especially the steak and cheese sandwiches...and they have gluten free subs if needed!
