    You never know what’s going to happen when you come here. Your order might be right or it might be wrong. You might wait 30 minutes or none at all. You might end up needing a refund cause the store closes and still takes orders. But worst of all is how the front cashier will talk to employees while holding your food hostage instead of letting you pay and leave in the drive through. Used to have better people working in the morning and it was great, now that’s changed.

    I visited this McDonalds on Amherst Street in Winchester, Virginia, and got the best service from the sweetest lady at the drive-through window and she even had dog treats for my dog. She made my experience there better than I would have ever imagined.

    As I walked inside I instantly noticed the kiosks where I usually order were empty so I ordered from them. No receipt came out so we went up front to pay bc we had cash. Then I noticed that the staff wasn’t calling out the numbers or order names and everything was starting to pile up. Everyone waited around and watched the board trying to figure out what was what. Finally the dude up front started moving stuff round once he realized the flurry was melting everywhere. So he moved everything closer together finally calling out numbers. When they finally called my gfs name I grabbed the food ordered my tea and went to grab my sweet tea from the drink station. There was no sweet tea and there was visible stains of tea and soda on the counter. So my gf told them this and that there was no straws. He brought straws but didn’t have sweet tea with him so I looked over at him and he walked away as I went to speak. So i got soda instead and we left. I got to the car my pies were never warmed up and my chicken was cold. Also, would have been nice if he could have told me which was the choc shake and which was the mocha as both kinda looked alike in color. Highly disappointed!

    I had a very disappointing experience at this location. The drink station was dirty, with visible soda and tea stains all over the counter, and they were completely out of straws. When I informed an employee, he tossed a handful of straws into the container without even closing the lid afterward, which didn’t inspire much confidence in cleanliness. The self-service kiosk was also out of paper and didn’t print our receipt. I mentioned this to the same employee before the straw issue, and instead of addressing it, he simply asked what our order was and had us pay—while other customers continued using the same kiosk without knowing it wasn’t printing receipts. To make matters worse, orders were being placed on a very small counter near the register without names being called out. There was a pile of food and drinks sitting there, and no one knew which order belonged to whom. The overall organization felt chaotic. On top of that, the floor was so sticky that my shoes were literally sticking as I walked. Cleanliness and basic customer service were clearly lacking during this visit. I hope management takes steps to improve the upkeep and organization at this location.
