  Truly the best food I’ve had in years, and the staff are the loveliest people you’ll ever meet! High’s Restaurant is a diamond in the rough— we will be sure to stop here every time we are near by. Highly recommend!

  What a great, unexpected find! We were passing through Monterey on a Friday evening around supper time. High’s Restaurant looked like a good choice. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. We loved the 50’s diner vibe. The staff was incredible and attentive. They were very friendly and our drinks were always refilled even though they were quite busy. The food was delicious! My husband had the hamburger steak and added jalapeños. It was superb. I had the pork chops and they were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The portions were hefty, the sweet tea was just like Granny’s, and the lemon berry cake with coffee was delightful! Would highly recommend stopping on your way through or even using it as an excuse for a little road trip.

  Our dinner at highs was a great experience. Wade took care of us and he was fantastic. Our order was perfect and his customer service was exemplary. We can't wait to come back when we are back in town!

  Stopped in with a friend and Wade was awesome. We had the chicken tenders and cobra fries, and my friend ordered the Philly cheesesteak. Food was really good and hit the spot. Do recommend!

  I was visiting family from out of town and decided to stop in. Wade was the cook. I ordered the deluxe cheeseburger and fries, and it was so good fresh, cooked just right, and super satisfying. Great food and a great experience! Definitely recommend, will be back!
