  This is one of the worst food lions. Theres never any registers open. The few employees working are just standing around doing nothing at all. I cant speak for the back employees but the front of the house is awful and needs alot of work.

  I’ve been going to this store weekly for the past 8 years. Every face is familiar. I’ve seen many new hires and many people go. It’s my neighborhood store! The staff is pretty nice, with one or two exceptions. The problem is not the staff. The trouble is this. I am a receipt checker. I actually look at my receipt after every purchase, particularly at this store. I’m not on a budget per se, it’s just that I find an error nearly 100 percent of the time when purchasing sale items! Generally, when I go to the store, I am looking for items on sale, but at this store, If I buy something on sale, I regularly find an error on the receipt. Interestingly, these errors are in favor of Food Lion, never to my advantage. The most common error is the sale price does not ring up. I have the store card, I scan it first, but if the item is deeply discounted (reflected by the little white tag for a 2-3 day sale item) well, the sale price just doesn’t ring up. I’ve gotten to where I take a picture bc they like to send you back to verify the price with a pic. I find that clearance items do not always ring for the clearance price. Lastly, they recently had beef on sale. I purchased 3 packets at the sale price. Only 2 of the 3 rang up on sale. The third was at regular price. I had to go back to the eat department to address the issue. It was another Food Lion error. Why is this important and why am I bothering to write a review? In large part, it is because if this is happening to me, it’s also happening to you. it happens so often that I just thought I’d like to let someone else know. If you are shopping at the Food Lion At the corner of old hundred and Genito Road, in Midlothian Virginia, check your receipt! The staff will not appreciate your attention to detail, and may treat you as if you’re the crook, LOL. Don’t let it upset you. Get the right price and don’t let them take avantage of you!

  I WAS TRYING TO GIVE YOU GUYS A SHOT. ONE DOOR FOR THE GUEST. BUT WHEN YOU DIDNT HAVE 100piece chicken order ready at the appropriate time. Won’t be back. Pharmacy and all pack it up!!

  More expensive with less variety than Wal-mart or Publix. Produce was of low quality, as were the selections of meats. Multiple deals listed on stickers were not applied during checkout. As I was checking out, an employee was loudly cursing at a customer in the presence of small children. This was around 10am on 12/16/25. Other employees were joking about the situation. Not exactly the experience you expect from a small neighborhood grocery store. This is the closest grocery store to my house unfortunately, and I guess I'll be driving a little further because I won't be going back.

  The stores great. If you’re going to have self checkout. You also should have regular check out. The self checkout was fine. Now it’s having glitches making you think your stealing and your not.
