  Put in a pick up order this morning to be picked up between 5 and 6. Got to store at 5 and called. The associate came out and had to find the order in her handheld. And then told me that even tho I had made the pick up for 5 -6. They didn't have to shop it till that time. Now if I have an order that's suppose to picked up between 5 and 6 why would you shop it at 5 when I'm in your parking lot and it was suppose to be done. The associate was also not the most pleasant and slammed my door when she was done. So bad day for her maybe but. Not our normal pleasant Food Lion excursion experience very

  Produce is subpar at best, a container of grapes with fruit flies once sat for weeks. Stopped buying chicken here due to the rotting smell in the case. I once bought bacon then realized it was out of date when I got home and watched the other out of date packs sit in the fridge for atleast two weeks. Service really depends on what time you shop but majority of the time they’re barely going to acknowledge you. Going to Walmart in Gloucester and local produce stands is best.

  This is a great Food Lion in the morning time, but at the nighttime, I can’t say the same. The evening crew seems to be more interested in having personal conversation amongst each other than actually helping customers. There have been multiple times where I have come in and gotten groceries and have had to wait on cashiers to stop personal conversations me to get me checked out. There have even been times where I’ve interacted with an employee and they comment on my groceries and have even said yuck to my groceries once. Tonight I came in and only got two groceries and went up to the register and the woman that I assume is the assistant manager and a team member we’re having conversation both looked at me and then continued their conversation as I was awkwardly standing there waiting for one of them to acknowledge me and check me out. Once they stopped their conversation, I said hello, and the assistant manager walked away and then the other woman finished up sweeping and then said hello. As she’s checking me out, a man that I assume is the manager came out and started having conversation with the woman I assumed is the assistant manager and then the cashier decided to join in on the conversation as I was still standing right there waiting to pay and leave. There have also been many times where I have been checking out and an employee who clocked out is in line behind or in front of me and they will have conversations while other people are in line or the assistant manager will stand with them in line and chat with them as if other people aren’t around. I understand that it gets boring at night and it’s fun to chat but there’s a time and a place for everything. The morning crew is much more attentive to customers and I have no complaints about those experiences at all.
