  Worst Food Lion in the county. I came one evening at 930pm to get lunch meat. I was told then that the deli counter closes at 9pm, which I was not aware of. So be it. Saturday, March 14th, I came in at 8:36pm to get lunch meat from the Deli, drove 25 minutes there, and the hispanic lady cleaning the floors then tells me the closed at 8:45pm. I told her it was 8:36pm and she just tells me they're closed. When I returned home, without any groceries, I called the store and asked to speak with the manager on duty, and was told it was Michael. I told him that I wanted to get the regional manager's name and contact info to file a complaint due to their "shifting" hours and closing departments before the actual closing times. He hung up on me. I called back, no answer, called back again a few minutes later, and again no answer. So now I will be contacting corporate first thing in the morning on Monday to report this. This place THE worst customer service of any store I've been at. And for a manager to hang up in the middle of a phone call like that is unacceptable. If your deli hours are til 9pm, then a customer should be able to come in at 8:36pm and be able to purchase what they came to get. Obviously they are lazy or dont value their jobs. Avoid this place if you dont want to make a useless trip in case they decide to close a department whenever they feel like it instead of their scheduled hours.

  Been to this Food Lion many times over the years, typically just to grab something to help finish with dinner on the way back from vineyard visits in the area. It’s decently stocked and the employees are helpful. There aren’t many grocery stores out this way, so it seems to do a nice job carrying what’s needed for the folks who need to rely on it.

  Good luck trying to get someone to answer the phone. I have tried for 3 days. I think I left my credit card there… disappointing that they won’t answer the phone at any department. Otherwise it such a great store?
