I visited this location, and upon going up to the register the guy behind the counter walked away from the register, as he watched me approach it not saying a word. Instead of anybody being kind enough to let me know the register's light was not on, I had 4 employees all standing around the register next to it that just started laughing. It wasn't until I looked up to see the light wasn't on to realize that it was closed. All an employee had to do was say, "Hey, I am sorry I just closed this lane, or "I am sorry that lane is closed, I can get you over here." However, that never happenedm Instead, these employees chose to just stand there mocking and having me figure out what why I was getting laughed at, it was just absolutely unkind. A women with blonde hair that has pink in it, was kind enough to intervene, and offer to ring me out. However, in the process of getting checked out, one of the women still standing around comes up beside me, and goes back behind the register next to the cashier ringing me out singing, "If the light isn't on nobody is home, and if the light is on somebody is there." If it wasn't for that specific cashier ringing me, I would have just left my stuff there, and walked out. The entirety of the interaction was inappropriate, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Someone reading this might inquire, where was management? Or, did you at least speak to someone in management before leaving? As someone who has been in management for years, I can't emphasize enough that employees that display that type of behavior is lacking structure, meaning there is areas in management that need to significantly improve. A solid leader is going to provide enough structure, and accountability in that store that it will show with the way their employees treat customers. So, no I did not seek out management, instead I chose to reach the public to share in my experience at this location.
