Somehow, I dropped my car keys (on a ring with other keys etc.) in the parking lot without noticing the drop. Clueless, I went in and did my shopping. At self-checkout, the machine prompted me to scan my Martin's discount card, which is on my key ring. Irritated, I muttered something like "Goodness Gracious! I regret losing my keys." (only stronger). Just then the P.A. loudspeaker said my name and something else that I didn't understand. The self-check attendant confirmed that was my name, and suggested checking with the Office. As I arrived at the office counter, an employee asked "Are you Mr. Spiller? We found your keys", and handed them to me. What a relief! Just then my cellphone rang; my wife calling to say that Martin's had already called her to let her know of the keys, and suggested that she call me. What a kind and helpful system and employees! I thanked the inside employees, and as I carried my groceries out to the car, I asked the cart-collecting guy if he had found the keys. He said "Did you get them?" I explained that I did, thanks to him and the other employees. I am grateful for these employees and the system that enabled their gracious solution to my doofus loss of keys.
