  We drove over an hour to this location (12/23/25 at 3:30) and there were nearly no donuts to choose from. They were completely out of the classic glazed, so we had to settle for the mini donuts. We ordered 16 smaller glazed donuts, and they were very hard.. clearly stale. We were then told the donuts were leftover from last night. When we asked for a refund, the female employee suggested we go to Walmart, saying they have the same donuts. If Walmart donuts were acceptable, we wouldn’t have driven an hour to Krispy Kreme. Freshness is literally the brand. For context, I have over 550 Google reviews and have only ever left two negative reviews. I don’t complain lightly, but this experience earned it. There was a very polite young man working, and I genuinely felt sorry for him being put in that position. This was not his fault. It would have made far more sense to close than to sell stale donuts with almost no selection and dismiss customers who made a long trip. Wasted time, wasted gas, and extremely poor judgment.

  No doughnuts at all NONE were hot or ready not even glazed doughnuts, the only ones they had were Santa doughnuts just terrible and they were horrible. The entire crew was in the back holding a conversation about life and they were very loud and you could hear the conversation. I hope corporate reads the review because this sucks. The manager was actually one of the ones in the back casually having a conversation 🤦🏽‍♀️

  My wife and I swung by the Harrisonburg Krispy Kreme while on a road trip, and we’re glad we did. The place is very clean, bright, and inviting. The two staff members working (a young guy and a young lady) were incredibly friendly, upbeat, and made the whole visit feel easy and enjoyable. Our dozen donuts came out fresh and tasted amazing. The display, counters, and floors were all well taken care of — you can tell the team takes pride in keeping the store tidy. If you’re in the area and craving something sweet, this location is definitely worth the stop. Great service, great vibe, great donuts.

  I’m 60 years old and grew up in Richmond Virginia so I’ve been around Krispy Kreme doughnuts all of my life.. they have always been my favorite donut. I’m not even supposed to be eating them as I’m diabetic, but I was in Harrisonburg and had had a rough week so decided to treat myself. I walked in and looked at the case which seemed maybe a little bit more than half full. I didn’t see my favorite donut so I asked about it. I was told that the lemon filled donuts had been discontinued and yes, I know it’s only a doughnut, but I felt like I had been kicked in the stomach like I literally couldn’t believe it. The girl that told me showed zero empathy or warmth did not give a Rats Patootie. I guess I will say. When I had walked in, there was a sign on the door that said they would be out of glazed donuts until 5 PM. It was at least 5:20 and there were no glazed donuts and there were no donuts being made. Somebody came in behind me and asked about it and the girl just gesture to the machine and said it would be at least another 30 minutes. But nobody was doing anything. I chose three other donuts and the quality of Those donuts was fine, but the service was in my opinion horrible. I’ve just lost my favorite donut and no other lemon donut is going to replace it. So I guess I’m done with Krispy Kreme completely. Being diabetic maybe that’s a good thing but it’s sad to see something that’s been part of my entire life be discontinued.
