Visited this location and had an incredibly disappointing experience.
My partner asked a simple question about our order and was met with a dismissive, rude tone from the employee on the speaker. When I requested to speak with a manager, I was told they were “very busy.” However, it did not appear that the location was particularly busy at the time, and the employee carrying our food spent several minutes engaged in conversation outside while holding our order.
When the manager came to address the situation, instead of calmly listening, she became defensive. My partner began explaining that where he’s from, people don’t speak to customers that way and referenced Southern hospitality. Before he could finish his sentence, the manager interrupted him and stated that those were “fighting words” and additionally, the manager referenced being “from Jersey” during the exchange, which felt irrelevant, unprofessional, and threatening. Rather than de-escalating and addressing the concern calmly, management responded defensively.
To be clear, the employee’s dismissive tone was inappropriate from the start — being “busy” does not justify speaking to customers disrespectfully. We were calmly addressing a question about our order while our infant was asleep in the back seat, and nothing about our tone or language was aggressive or threatening in a way that would justify the dismissive and disrespectful response we received.
However, instead of calmly addressing the concern, the manager escalated it with defensive and unprofessional remarks. Both the initial interaction and the response from leadership fell short of basic customer service standards.
As a service member, I value respect, accountability, and basic standards of conduct. Unfortunately, those standards were not upheld during this interaction, and we will not be returning.
