Today I made a to go order that was shopped very well. I was pleased with my service from the shopper. However, when I arrived home and put my groceries away. One of my emergency items. I purchased ahead of the snowstorm was inedible because the seal was completely lifted off of my peanut butter jar. Also, I received a can of tomato soup. That was severely dented. Normally, I would have let the dented can slide because It’s not a big deal, but since I had to return the peanut butter( 64 ounce size) I figured I would return that as well. Ahead of my going to the store I called and spoke to the shift manager by the name of Daniel. This is where the real problem began. I explained to Daniel my situation and asked, could they please have the items ready for exchange when I arrived back at the store. Daniel did not want to assist me with this task and hesitated and made excuses, “ i’m the shift manager I guess there’s a shopper that might still be available”. ,After I continue to explain to him that I strongly preferred not to reshop items, for which I already paid a shopping fee, (being that fact I’d placed an order the prior week and spent 30 minutes in the Store shopping it myself with the other shift manager, who was very helpful) All I wanted was two replacements, a 64 ounce jar of Food Lion peanut butter and one family sized can of tomato soup. I even told him I would come inside the store to pick it up. I wouldn’t make anyone come out in the cold. He was extremely resistant to assisting me with this task but eventually relented and it was quite obvious that he was annoyed. So when I arrive he comes up to the counter, doesn’t say say good evening just looks at me like what do you want? I tell him who I am and what I’m there for. He rolls his eyes reaches back, gets the two items abruptly put them on the counter and takes my items withhout saying a word. Being that he was so rude, I asked him was there a problem to which curtly stated No and walked away mind you I’m a customer still standing at the counter, and he begins to walk away before I leave I say thank you have a good night. He says nothing and keeps walking. . I was never rude to this man. Little does he know I’m very good acquaintances with multiple people that work this store(which is why I choose to shop this store and not the one in my neighborhood ) This behavior tonight is not unusual he is consistently rude not only to customers, but to employees . Why is this man still employed when they have such great friendly employees there!? He does not exhibit the customer service model that Food Lion is trying to maintain and communicate to their customers. For reference I left the store at 7:25pm on 1/24/2026 . I will now avoid this store and doing any to go orders when I know he’s on duty. I don’t wanna have to deal with this absolutely ridiculous.

the guy with the orange beard at night it’s rude to the cashiers and customers. He asks like he’s not getting paid. After work the last thing I wanna see is somebody miserably treating an employee. At least go in private. And who promoted this guy to oversee folks and young adults?

Best Food Lion in the area. The woman in the seafood section always does a great job. She goes above and beyond. And the bakery and deli folks do a good job too. I picked up a birthday cake today and they did a great job. And the lady that did it was very nice. All the employees do a good job. Cleanest food lion in the area too. Great Job.
