Food tasted great. The only thing that was disappointing was that I went in a group and everyone does not carry cash. They dont take multiple payment methods which was an inconvenience. They stated they charge only one card for the bill or cash and by per table. So we weren't all at one seating.

We stopped by to try out their “new” Social Hour that was every day, from 3pm-6:30pm. (Banner on wall, outside). We showed up at 3:10pm, and we were handed menus. We ordered drinks only, but after looking online, we realized there was a separate menu for “Social Hours”. I asked the bartender about Social Hour, and he said “yeah, we’ve had it for a few years now.” Me-“huh?, the sign says it’s new.” He then gave us a Social Hour Menu (at 3:33pm), we showed up at 3:10pm). We ordered when we arrived. Anyway, we asked about what was the “House Wine” on special for Social Hour. We had ordered the least expensive Pinot Noir, assuming that was the house red. (Would have done the same with the white) because there was no “House Wine” listed, for either. It was inferred that our red, was the House Wine, and it would be the special. Nope. Got the bill, and it was regular cost. So we asked about it. We were told by a different Bartender that it was not the House Wine, and I asked “how would we have known?” She said, we could talk to a manager about it, but, it had been a long day, with other accountability issues going on with construction contractors. So, unfortunately, this just sat poorly. Anyway…I still rated a 5 because I am very much in the business, and I know how the bs ratings affect your jobs. So please…pay attention. Know your pricing, know your products, and know the time of day you are serving the people who tip you. ..and regardless, if this promotion has been running for a few years now, you should absolutely know what the House Wines are. Ps…the bar had us (two), and one other patron there. “Busy”, wasn’t an excuse, but, it shouldn’t ever be.

I asked if they accommodate allergies. They said they do. I asked for a plain meal cooked in its own pan, to avoid cross contamination. Olive oil, salt, pepper only. I got my food. I took a bite of rice and it clearly had lemon in it. I told the waitress and told her to take it back and I don’t want anything else because I don’t trust them to not contaminate it considering they had specific instructions the first time and didn’t take my allergy seriously. The manager then came over and apologized and said there’s no charge for the meal- that I couldn’t eat anyway. Now I sit and pray I don’t have an allergic reaction tonight and end up in the ER. My reactions are delayed. If you have allergies, don’t trust Bone Fish Short Pump to take your allergies seriously because they didn’t mine.

The server Emily at the bar was terrible. She complained the whole time how she was ready to go and was upset someone else didn’t show for their shift. As someone who works in the industry myself, I’m understanding and usually give grace but she was so busy carrying on a conversation with an off shift coworker at the end of the bar that she couldn’t pay attention to her guests. She acted bothered everytime she was asked a question and for that, I’ll never return to this location… the other is much more fun and welcoming.

Service was okay, but we found hair in our food and my husband’s meal was cold. My French toast was also undercooked. We went early on Valentine’s Day, and they weren’t busy, so there really wasn’t an excuse. They did take both dishes back, but overall it was a disappointing experience. ***Update**** Thank you for the response. We did notify our server at the time, and while the dishes were taken back, the experience was still very disappointing. Finding hair in our food and receiving cold and undercooked meals—especially when the restaurant wasn’t busy—should not happen. I’ve submitted my feedback through your contact link and hope to hear back soon. I also hope this is taken seriously and used to improve quality and consistency.
