I rarely leave reviews, but today’s experience at this Dairy Queen absolutely deserves one.
I visited this location today around 4:30 PM and ordered a chicken strip basket. What I received was unacceptable for any fast-food restaurant, let alone a well-known brand like Dairy Queen.
First, the portion size was laughable. The basket came with little to no French fries—far less than what is normally included or what I paid for. It honestly felt like the fries were intentionally skimmed. On top of that, the chicken strips were overcooked, dry, and completely unseasoned, making them tough and unpleasant to eat. This was not fresh food, nor was it prepared with any care.
The only reason this experience didn’t end right there was because I was given a free sundae, which was also noticeably smaller than normal. While I appreciate the gesture, it does not make up for poor food quality and service.
Unfortunately, the employees’ behavior was even worse than the food, especially Zekiyah D. And the rest of the young staff had terrible attitudes and an unprofessional tone from the moment I raised the issue. Instead of fixing the problem, Zekiyah D. passed me off to another, who then became dismissive and uninterested in resolving anything. There was no accountability, no apology, and no attempt to remake the order properly.
This location showed zero customer service, zero quality control, and zero respect for paying customers. If employees are unwilling to fix mistakes or even acknowledge them, that reflects a serious management issue.
I expect better from Dairy Queen. Skimping on food, serving overcooked items, and treating customers like they are a nuisance is unacceptable. Management needs to seriously address staff training, food portions, and basic customer service at this location.
Until that happens, I would not recommend this Dairy Queen to anyone.
