  Many moons ago, I tried drunken noodle (pad kee mao) for the first time— and I have been a true lover of it since then. I have also been on a one-woman quest to find the best drunken noodle. After trying this dish from countless Thai restaurants across the country, I can, without a doubt, say that Kao Sarn makes THE BEST drunken noodle that I’ve ever had in my life. (I’m literally salivating just thinking about it right now lol). The noodles are perfectly glossy and have the perfect amount of wok hei. They also add Chinese broccoli, which is the perfect accompaniment to the noodles and the protein. I ask for mine level 4 spicy and it’s the perfect amount of spice. I don’t think that anyone else’s version of drunken noodle will ever compare to Kao Sarn’s and I preach this gospel to all of my friends. The service here is also very friendly and very fast. It’s a small restaurant and I have tried other dishes on the menu, but I keep coming back for the drunken noodle. Seriously go get it. I’m probably gonna have it again this week lol

  This place is so good. I lived in Malaysia for several years and spent a lot of time in Thailand. Kao Sarn is the real thing. They have a smaller menu, but everything on it is wonderful and made with care. It’s what you’d get if you walked into a small family restaurant in Chiang Mai. I’m not sure if the owners are from The North of Thailand, but they have several Northern Thai dishes you don’t usually find elsewhere (Khao Soi is a must try if you haven’t had it). If you want real Thai flavors, skip the sea of cookie cutter Thai places around NOVA that dumb their food down and go to Kao Sarn ASAP. Fair warning - the seating is limited. You probably wouldn’t want to show up with a party of 8+. But they also pack things carefully for takeout and most dishes travel quite well.

  Food is supremely delicious for the price. They have soups bowls appetizers for $6 or $7 with free chicken. The atmosphere was very cozy and home-like. We would come back!!!!

  The server she was SO RUDE AND PUSHY TO OFDER. I ordered the soup and got the wrong soup. It was SMALL BOWL SOUP FOR $17 dollars coconut milk with few mushrooms. Instead of replacing it she FORCED ME TO PAY! DEFINITELY NOT COMING BACK! HORRIBLE SERVICE AND DEFINITELY NOT COMING BACK!!!

  We ordered 3 items for $70.00 (take out) for 3 person. The amount of food in each item ordered was less, not enough for a dinner. There was a kind of burnt smell, not sure if it is from the oil or something else. I don't think the reviews out there truely reflects the overall quality of food/service.
