Extremely disappointed and embarrassed as I took my family here for Sunday brunch to try out “a new place”. Dolan opens at 10:00 am. We arrived at 10:30 am on Sunday morning. No other patrons were in the restaurant when we arrived. The place remained empty for the entirety of our visit. The menu was breakfast only. No brunch. We were told we could not order non-breakfast items until 11:00 am, so we ordered from the breakfast menu. Three of us ordered omelets and one ordered the Simit Breakfast which was to come with over easy egg. After a seemingly long wait one omelet was brought out. About three minutes later the 2nd one arrived and then another three minutes until the 3rd arrived. It was as if they had only one skillet to use!! Omelets were served flat and thin like pancakes with selected items sprinkled on top (not folded over). The omelets were dry and cold. The simit was delivered after another long wait. The “egg over easy” on the simit was also served as a flat pancake (with no yolk)/on top of bagel. We all concluded there was no “chef “ onsite for breakfast and decided they only arrived at 11:00 in time for lunch menu to begin. Service was “off”. Our water glasses were never refilled. We had to summon the wait staff for our bill. A very unfortunate experience.

The most delicious meal I’ve had in a very long time. Took 63 years but I finally had the chance to dine on Uyghur food and I can’t wait to return. The staff is so warm and welcoming. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful! Don’t miss this restaurant.

Dolan Uyghur Restaurant is a hidden gem if you’re looking for bold, flavorful Central Asian cuisine. The lamb skewers and hand-pulled noodles are cooked perfectly, full of authentic spices, and very satisfying. Portions are generous, the service is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is casual and unpretentious — perfect for a relaxed meal. Definitely a place I’d go back to for hearty, well-prepared Uyghur dishes.

We had an amazing experience at Dolan Uyghur Restaurant. We were traveling from North Carolina to New Jersey and decided to stop by, and we are so glad we did. Our server Munira was incredibly kind attentive and welcoming and truly went above and beyond to take care of all of our needs. From heating up milk for my little sister to bringing wet towels for our elderly family members every detail was handled with so much care. There was also another gentleman whose name I did not catch who checked in on us asked if we needed any help and was extremely kind friendly and talkative which made us feel even more welcome. What really stood out was how accommodating the staff was since everyone spoke English and they even spoke Russian to communicate with our elderly family members which meant a lot to us. The food was excellent the environment was warm and comfortable and the customer service was outstanding. Overall everything about this place was wonderful and I highly recommend stopping here if you are passing through or in the area.
