I ordered two cakes and a lahmacun, but one of the cakes was missing from my order, so I had to return to the restaurant to pick it up. The lahmacun and salad were packed together in the same box, which caused the lahmacun to become soggy. In addition, both cakes did not taste fresh. Overall, I was quite unhappy with this experience and do not plan to order from this restaurant again.

I had an incredible experience at Dolan Uyghur Restaurant. The food is bold, authentic, and packed with flavor—and the Korma chop completely stole the show. Perfectly seasoned, tender, and deeply satisfying, it’s the kind of dish you keep thinking about long after the plate is empty. You can really taste the craftsmanship and tradition in every bite. The spices are rich without being overpowering, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared rather than rushed. If you’re even remotely curious about Uyghur cuisine, this place is a must. I’ll absolutely be back—and next time, I’m bringing friends so I can watch their faces when they try the Korma chop for the first time. 🔥🍽️

This restaurant is amazinggg. The servers were very kind and the food was so tasty. We ordered multiple dishes and everything was to our liking! They had singer's preforming which made our first visit so special. My friends wanted to come back again because of how lovely it was.

Coming from Central Asia, my wife and I truly love laghman. We tried many Uyghur places serving laghman on the Virginia side of the Potomac before discovering this restaurant about a year ago. I still remember the first time we tried beef laghman here—our eyes lit up and we said in unison, “This is it!” Since then, we’ve been coming back regularly, specifically for their laghman, and it has consistently been a very enjoyable experience. Today, however, felt a little different. The beef in our royal laghman had a slightly unusual taste than we are used to and seemed to be pre-cooked and then fried, rather than freshly stir-fried. That said, this has been our go-to place for laghman, and we’re hopeful this was just a one-off experience and look forward to enjoying our favorite dish again on our next visit.

Extremely disappointed and embarrassed as I took my family here for Sunday brunch to try out “a new place”. Dolan opens at 10:00 am. We arrived at 10:30 am on Sunday morning. No other patrons were in the restaurant when we arrived. The place remained empty for the entirety of our visit. The menu was breakfast only. No brunch. We were told we could not order non-breakfast items until 11:00 am, so we ordered from the breakfast menu. Three of us ordered omelets and one ordered the Simit Breakfast which was to come with over easy egg. After a seemingly long wait one omelet was brought out. About three minutes later the 2nd one arrived and then another three minutes until the 3rd arrived. It was as if they had only one skillet to use!! Omelets were served flat and thin like pancakes with selected items sprinkled on top (not folded over). The omelets were dry and cold. The simit was delivered after another long wait. The “egg over easy” on the simit was also served as a flat pancake (with no yolk)/on top of bagel. We all concluded there was no “chef “ onsite for breakfast and decided they only arrived at 11:00 in time for lunch menu to begin. Service was “off”. Our water glasses were never refilled. We had to summon the wait staff for our bill. A very unfortunate experience.
