I prefer this location over the one in DC. The food was delicious, and the portions were very generous. We ordered five or six dishes, and the total came out to just over a hundred dollars, which felt very reasonable for the amount of food we received.
The décor is beautiful, and the staff provided good service. Their specialties include a variety of noodles, whether handmade or knife-cut, and the skewered meats tasted authentic as well. My partner requested an itemized receipt, and the manager was very patient and accommodating.
There was a private party that night that was quite loud, but it seemed like a one-time situation and probably wouldn’t affect the experience if you visit at a different time. I also recall dining here last year when there was light guitar music playing, which added a nice touch to the atmosphere.

Wow! This was my first time to Dolan Uyghur restaurant (in Falls Church). I ordered the Royal Laghman with chicken. It was perfectly seasoned and they were able to accommodate my request for rice noodles. The sauce was full of flavor, and the vegetables were fresh and cooked to perfection, but please remember that you MUST leave room for dessert! I will just say that the options are plentiful, beautifully served, and the pistachio latte was delicious. I must also mention the kind and friendly staff too! Our waitress was very familiar with the menu and was able to help us make our selections. There are so many dishes to choose from! A special thank you goes to the gracious Maitre’D Nyr for making us feel so welcome as first timers. What a lovely experience, and we can’t wait to come back!

I am incredibly upset with the staff at Dolan. We usually dine at the DC location, but for a late Valentine’s Day dinner we wanted somewhere with a nicer atmosphere, so we made a reservation at the Falls Church location. Despite reserving in advance and calling twice earlier in the day, no one informed us that there would be a private event happening that same night.
The event took place in the exact same dining space with no separation at all. Tables were simply rearranged while guests were singing and dancing at full volume. It was so loud that my husband and I could not hear each other from across the table even while raising our voices, and the speakers sent piercing noise throughout the restaurant. We ended up ordering our food to go and leaving almost immediately.
The most disappointing part, however, was the manager’s response. He showed little concern for our experience and completely disregarded the fact that we had not been told about the event beforehand. There was no genuine apology, no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, and no effort to make the situation right. What should have been a special evening turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience due to poor communication and lack of customer care.

My fiancé and I went to Dolan for a Valentine’s Day dinner which was very disappointing. Despite making a reservation, the restaurant had a long line of customers with reservations. We were not seated until 20 minutes after our reservation.
After being seated, we made our orders. However, after 30 minutes from taking our order (nearly 1 hour since being seated) our waitress informed us that the noodles for the dish were out (Signature Noodles). In addition, two employees (I presume to be the floor manager and server) slammed a table into my seat as they were moving it which they looked at me and carried on without a word. Finally, our waitress rarely came to our table and left us without water for an hour.
We did receive our two dishes (Kung Pao and Korma Noodles) which were great and overall, no complaints. Though it was at an hour and 20 minutes into being seated. Altogether, we were stuck at the restaurant for almost 2 hours.
I don’t at all blame our waitress and if anything feel bad for the staff. Clearly, management let the reservations go over board and really tested the limits of the team. This led to one of the worst services I have experienced for a restaurant that is so well-respected in the DMV area.
Nonetheless, Dolan is a restaurant with great food and a nice atmosphere inside. However, the service was one of the worst I have experienced in the DMV, arguably the worst for a restaurant within the price bracket. I hope this was a one time case but I do not expect to go back to this location (definitely will not rule out other Dolan Uyghur restaurants).

I made a reservation for 5:30 PM and was seated immediately. Unfortunately, that was the only part of the evening that went smoothly. After being seated, we were completely ignored for approximately 30 minutes until I had to flag someone down just to place our order at 6:00 PM.
Our appetizers did not arrive until 7:00 PM, and the overall wait for our food stretched close to three hours. At no point did our waiter apologize, provide an explanation, or make any effort to correct the situation. Even more concerning, the manager never once checked on our table during this extended delay.
On Valentine’s Day — a predictable, high-volume holiday — proper staffing and active management should be a priority. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service was unacceptable. Waiting nearly three hours for food without acknowledgment or apology reflects a serious breakdown in service standards.
Given the circumstances, I expect appropriate compensation for this experience. This level of service does not justify the cost of the meal, and I would appreciate a prompt response regarding how this matter will be resolved.
