We recently started to visit this place again and we had positive experiences. I don't know when the menu changed but I'm glad it did. These last three times we have great service! Tonight we had Shelby and was great to be treated more than just customers. I appreciate the people person interaction and we all loved it. I hope it stays the same. The place was clean (restroom included) The portions were generous, reasonable prices, food was flavorful...just a great experience!

My family dined here on New Year’s eve. We made a reservation and were seated right away. Considering that it was peak time, the service was slow and it took a while for my server to show up and say hi. There was a happy hour menu until 6pm. We were able to order our drinks by then. House chardonnay and draft beers were good. I would not recommend house merlot. We ordered kebob, grilled trout, fettucine alfredo, fried chicken sandwich, and Cuban sandwich. All of them were decent but nothing stood out as “OMG this is so good”. Most of the dish were on salty side. Especially, the alfredo sauce was way too salty for us. The only thing stood out to me was garilc baked potato that came as a side to my grilled stout. That one definitely drew everyone’s attention to try. Booster and high chairs were available for children and the host provided crayons and coloring sheet for my babies, which I appreciated very much. Even though the experience was pleasant, I don’t see myself coming back here, especially with the new food and beverage tax in Fairfax County kicking in 2026.

Visiting from GA and so beyond glad I picked this place. We enjoyed a lovely dinner accompanied by our fur babies. We sat in the enclosed patio and enjoyed the fire that was going. They have great food, service, and atmosphere. From the Hot Honey Feta Dip to my Banana Pudding it was great. My Elderflower Lemonade Spritz was devine. Our dogs also got to enjoy their own menu item, a chicken and rice bowl with mixed veggies! Gavin was our server and offered top tier service. He was timely, efficient, and very kind. He made sure our drinks were never empty and replenished our bread promptly. He was great with the dogs as well. If I could give more than 5 stars I would!

If I could give more stars I would. From the appetizers to entrees to dessert, everything was PERFECT. Gavin, our server, delivered some of the best service we have ever had. He got us our first timer chips on the house, recommended the hot honey feta dip (which was CRAZY GOOD) and got us all of our food and drinks in a timely manner. The BBQ ranch burger was out of this world and the red pepper hummus will knock your socks off as well. Between the fantastic food and impeccable service there’s no doubt we will be back the next time we’re in Virginia and definitely asking for Gavin to be our server again!

Cozy, Comforting Vibes with an Extensive Menu that is Perfect for Celebrations🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar in Virginia was the perfect spot to celebrate my niece’s 30th birthday dinner with family, and the experience from start to finish was warm, comfortable, and memorable. The atmosphere is one of the biggest highlights. If you enjoy low lighting, cozy seating, and a relaxed lodge-style vibe, this is absolutely the place for you. The space feels inviting and comfortable — ideal for family dinners, date nights, or special occasions where you want to actually enjoy the moment without feeling rushed. The menu is extensive, almost to the point of being overwhelming — but in a good way. There truly is something for everyone, whether you’re craving comfort food, lighter options, or shareable plates. Lazy Dog is known for its scratch kitchen, using made-from-scratch recipes inspired by global comfort flavors, which really shows in the quality and taste. Everything came out hot, fresh, and well-seasoned — the perfect way to kick off a celebration dinner. Another great touch is that Lazy Dog is known for being dog-friendly, with many locations offering pet-friendly patios and even dog menus, which speaks to their welcoming, community-focused brand. It’s a restaurant that feels thoughtfully designed for comfort, connection, and good food. Overall, this was a great dining experience with excellent ambiance, a diverse menu, and solid food quality. I’ll definitely be back to visit again soon and look forward to trying more items from their menu. If you’re searching for casual dining in Virginia, cozy restaurants with low lighting, family-friendly celebration spots, or places with a large menu and great appetizers, Lazy Dog Restaurant is a strong choice. #LazyDogRestaurant #LazyDogEats #VirginiaDining #VAEats #CozyRestaurant #LowLightDining #ComfortFoodVibes #FamilyDinner #BirthdayDinner #CelebrationDinner #CasualDining #RestaurantReview #FoodieFinds #GoogleMapsReviewer #LocalGuide #DMVFoodies #ExtensiveMenu #SomethingForEveryone #ScratchKitchen #AppetizersOnPoint #ComfortFoodCravings #FoodieLife #DinnerGoals #FreshAndFlavorful #WellSeasoned #CraftCocktails #CocktailHour #LowLitVibes #CozyNights #RelaxedDining #EveningEats #DateNightSpots #DinnerAndDrinks
