When I arrived, I was told they were out of every assorted donut. When I asked if they could refund the difference and make both dozen original, I was met with a poor attitude. I then asked the representative for a full refund so I could be on my way. She told me that her boss would process the refund when she was available, as she was too busy at the moment, and that I should leave. When I asked for a receipt for the cancellation, her attitude worsened. She then had her supervisor come over to tell me the same thing. It seems that if a supervisor has time to come out and explain how busy they are, they also have time to cancel an order and provide a receipt. Instead, I was expected to leave hoping the refund would be processed, with no proof that it ever would be. Mind you I was very polite and here was literally one other car in the drive through beside me. A simple “hey can you wait in the front while I finish “ would have been more then ok. I will never be back.

When I brought it to the employees attention, they downplayed my concern, saying things like, “it’s just donuts, it’s not a big deal” and pointing out that the gnat was in the corner. While I understand that dealing with customers can be highly stressful and maybe “it’s just donuts” is a way to cope, I was still a bit put off. Even though the gnat appeared to have not touched the donuts.. does it really matter? Finding the gnat closed up inside the box was still unsettling for me. It’s a serious problem to have a bug in a customers order, and “its not a big deal” is subjective. I hope my feedback helps improve the customer experience going forward.
