Had dinner there last night with my mom, as I'm in town for a few days, and we were of good fortune to have had Adriana C., as our waitress. The experience she provided is both was utely amazing! Great service....as she was niice, attentive, and she understood the menu, to include special of the day. Didn't bother us, but was available, and she over delivered. Would go back for the food and essentially for the service provided.

We hadn't been there in years, we were given a gift card with several other restaurant choices and went with Sweetwater, great decision, we enjoyed the whole experience and will definitely be back sooner than later

I’m not entirely convinced this place exists on Earth. My colleague and I slid into Sweetwater Tavern for a casual lunch, but what we got felt more like an interdimensional dining experience. We sat at the bar and were immediately greeted by Liana—yes, Liana—a human (I think) with the energy of a supernova. She asked for our names, which already broke the usual restaurant script, but somehow it worked. Instant rapport. No small talk, just vibes. Bold meets bold. We knew we were in the right place. Now, the food. I ordered the chicken sandwich. My colleague went with the chicken tenders. And listen—this wasn’t just food. This was… intention. The chicken was juicy like it had something to prove. The tenders? Light, crispy, not weighed down by the sins of over-breading. You could taste that someone in the kitchen actually cares, which feels rare these days. But the real plot twist? The bread basket. Specifically, the roll. If a higher power ever decided to manifest itself as carbohydrates, this would be the form. A soft, golden, slightly sweet orb—somewhere between a donut hole and a cloud. Fluffy, warm, almost suspiciously perfect. And then—honey butter. Of course. Because why wouldn’t divinity come with a side of honey butter? At that point, I stopped asking questions. Between Liana’s electric presence and the borderline spiritual bread experience, lunch turned into something… else. Not just a meal. A moment. Possibly a glitch in the matrix. Would I go back? Without hesitation. I may even bring offerings next time.

I've been to a few Great American restaurants. Patsy's, Jackson's, and Costal Flats in Mclean. All were great. Sweetwater in Centerville... disappointing. The food was underwhelming. I had the ribs. The coleslaw was too sweet. The Fries weren't even crispy or golden, just limp and soggy. The Ribs were alright. My wife had the grilled chicken with angel hair pasta. Green beans were undercooked and the sauce was salty. The main course arrived luke warm. At least our calamari was hot. If you've been to Great American restaurants, this is one to avoid.
