- IBIrena Bui2 days ago5.0My Italian mother always told me that in order to see if a restaurant uses fresh ingredients, order the Calamari for appetizers. If it’s chewy, it’s not fresh. Sweetwater Tavern absolutely uses fresh ingredients! The calamari was soft and was crispy and the sauce pairing was complimentary. The swordfish special of the day was cooked to perfection, searing on the outside, moist on the inside, with a hickory aroma. The short salmon was sushi-grade for sure. Our friend was delighted that we brought him to Sweetwater Tavern. Consistency is the secret weapon for the Great American restaurant company. Thank you to Alex for taking care of us and we will be back!

When you see the 40 item beer list, hold your excitement until you find out which ~10 are being served. Highly recommended.

Food is always good but pricey. If I want to dress up on a date night, I don’t want to be escorted outside looking in on the other diners while eating a $50 steak.

The server was very attentive to our requests, especially the food, us requesting for picture to cherish this beautiful memory. Service was absolutely excellent, food was presented very well and very delicious. Our server suggested a lot of food which we truly enjoyed, especially the birthday cake. The place set the mood as well.

My husband didn't particularly feel wowed by the food but I feel like he is too picky to appreciate anything. My friend got a salmon and said it was good! The vibe is a bit loud and the space is super small. There was basically no room to go between the rows of booths. The waiters had to slide behind the ticked in highchair that eventually got moved because they kept not having enough space to walk through. The booths are long which is nice but if you're larger in body size at all....there isn't much room there lol they do have outdoor seating but I wasn't willing to see if it was heated as it was super cold outside. The flourless chocolate waffle is 10/10 love that.
