Had an incredible lunch earlier today. The short-smoked salmon was cooked to perfection (super moist). Our waiter, Alex L., made our entire lunch unforgettable. Incredible service, funny, super kind and generous. Sweetwater is lucky to have a server like Alex. I mean, this guy was next-level awesome. Just because of Alex it felt like my friend and I were at a 5-star restaurant. Thank you Alex!!! Almost forgot---had the Crème Brûlée for dessert. Best I've ever had!

Always a great meal and good service for the price point. Our daughter chose Sweetwater for her birthday dinner and once again, great food. Last night’s server, not so good. He checked on us once and never refilled water glasses. The only reason we still gave a good tip was for the runners and people bussing our table. They did an excellent job.

Very disappointed with the inconsistency at Sweetwater Tavern. All year long, they tell customers they do not take reservations and that you just need to walk in. We’ve always planned accordingly because that’s what we were told. However, today when we arrived, we were suddenly told that we needed a reservation. It’s frustrating when a restaurant changes its policy without clear communication. Customers plan their time and family outings based on the information given. If reservations are now required, that’s completely fine — but the policy should be consistent and clearly communicated. All the Great American Restaurants I have been to are great. I highly recommend the blackened prime rib, if it's still available when you get there. The prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of food and they have a decent cocktail menu. The bartenders have always been very friendly and efficient. They a have a rotating beer selection with a good variety for any taste in any season. I usually spend about $90 by myself but half of that is my damage to my liver. If you aren't trying to pickle yourself, you can probably spend about $60 per person for a huge steak and sides or spend around $30 per person for non-steak entrees.

Usually when dining in this place is always perfect but I ordered take out today and I ordered a Monterey salad with no dried cranberries and a side of honey mustard. When the take out person handed it to me I asked for honey mustard and she said it was in there. It wasn’t. Then I go home and open the salad .. there’s dried cranberries, no avocado, no tortilla crisps, and it seems like they threw something on there I have no idea what it is ?? This was pretty disappointing, I literally would always order from here but it was just a lot of mistakes on my order. I ended up just eating the chicken and threw out the rest.
