  Hidden gem for travelers on I-95. Just .8 miles off the exit, Fire & Chicken is a Peruvian restaurant and take out. Skip the usual quick serve and fast food. Your stomach and wallet will be reward!

  This restaurant is a legitimate contender for best chicken I've ever had. The aroma of smoke from the coals greets you at the door and gives a preview of what's in store. I had a half chicken, dark meat only (two legs, two thighs), cilantro rice and fries. Very simple. Served on a Styrofoam plate. No frills. But wow. The flavor of the chicken was perfect, moist and tender, bones falling apart at a touch. I prefer chicken skin that's slightly crispier, but I am splitting hairs now... This is really, really great chicken. I am not familiar with Peruvian cooking, but if this is what it's like, now I want to go to Peru. If you are driving through this area, make plans to stop here. I am adding this to my very short list of favorite places to eat.

  We took our food home. It was ready quickly and everything was so good. It’s our go to place when we want someone else to cook.

  Food is always amazing. Never much of any issue. There is this one employee who always has her child with her at work. She has a horrible, bad attitude, bad energy and very rude individual. I don't like coming here because I don't like dealing with her.
