Great experience here! The buff momo was juicy and full of flavor. Bandana provided excellent, friendly service and made us feel welcome.
If you go, try the Nepali Gorusinghe beer, it pairs perfectly with the food. Highly recommend!
We love Wild Yak. We live in Brambleton and we have been ordering food at least twice a month in the past year and it has been truly exceptional. However, I love the goat curry, but the last two times we ordered, it has been very tough and not easy to cut and chew, which means it is rushed to be cooked. I am going to give it one more chance.
On the other hand, the chicken curry is always being great and still is.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Himalayan Experience!
Himalayan Yak Nepali Indian Restaurant is an absolute gem. From the moment you walk in, the warm ambience sets the tone — elegant yet comfortable, with just the right blend of Himalayan charm and modern dining sophistication.
The momos are simply exceptional — perfectly steamed, delicately spiced, and bursting with flavor. The dipping sauces elevate them to another level. You can tell they’re made fresh and with authenticity. Easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere.
Beyond the momos, the menu offers a beautiful balance of Nepali and Indian classics. Each dish is thoughtfully prepared, rich in flavor, and presented beautifully. The spices are layered, not overpowering — allowing you to truly appreciate the depth of Himalayan cuisine.
One thing that truly impressed me was the wine selection. It’s rare to see such a well-curated wine list paired with Nepali and Indian cuisine. Whether you prefer a bold red to complement curries or a crisp white to pair with momos and lighter fare, they have excellent options. The staff is knowledgeable and happy to guide you.
Service was attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming — you feel like a valued guest, not just a customer.
If you’re looking for authentic flavors, great ambience, and a refined yet comfortable dining experience, Himalayan Yak is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back.

Decent spot, but a mixed experience overall. The food was okay with good portion sizes, though a bit pricey for what you get. Service was slow—even for a weekday lunch when the place was pretty empty. The curries were flavorful but could really use more kick.

Service, food, and staff were all top notch. The brazed yak was awesome, my wife had the butter chicken both dishes were levels above other Himalayan restaurants I've eaten at. Food was very similar to what we had in the foothills of the Himalayas a few years ago.
