  Meh. Go to Chipotle instead. Tacombi is not bad but nothing special. Nice because it's next to the theatre but I wouldn't make a special trip to go here. For $15, the large guac and chips is shockingly small. I cannot imagine what the small version looks like. Another review mentioned that you get free chips and salsa but you must ask for this? I didn't know to ask so we didn't get them. Tacombi food is bland, like another reviewer said, and I like the restaurant Chipotle much better, but there's not anything "wrong" with Tacombi.   I never thought I would say this, but I’ve finally found Mexican food that rivals California. I will absolutely be back for more! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly. The atmosphere is perfect for grabbing a quick bite to eat with friends or by yourself. I absolutely recommend this place.

  Maria was the sweetest server. Made ordering and dining very easy while on my quick lunch break. Another server brought my drink over and politely explained the agave sweetener on the side to adjust the taste of my drink to my liking. I started with chip and quac. Only complaint was the freshness of the chips. However the Baja fried fish and grilled fish tacos made up for it for sure. I love the open concept on such a beautiful day! Outdoor seating and bar like seating at the windows facing the outdoors. I’d definitely visit again!

  Food is great! Service can be a little slow at first like to get folks attention I came on a busy Tuesday once. So maybe it was the taco Tuesday energy. I didn’t know they did taco Tuesday deals and now I do! But I also came on a Friday and it was fine . My server both times was awesome (Johnny). He encouraged me to try the new carnitas tacos on the menu served with a chicharrón for extra crunch. order it! We joked about American spice vs Mexican spice because I’m from California and my family is from Juarez. I say personally 5/10 spice on the habanero I also had a birria taco because that’s just what I always order. Ask for chips and salsa! It’s not automatically provided but the salsa roja is the best!! All their margaritas are good as well And for DMV area these prices are super reasonable. I can leave paying $25-$30 and fill full (without alcohol of course)

  I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this experience really stood out for the wrong reasons. I went to Tacombi earlier today (it was not busy at all), yet our orders were still incorrect. I ordered a chicken quesadilla, but was served a pork one. I specifically asked the lady dropping our food to confirm it was chicken and was told yes. As I don’t eat pork, this was not a minor mistake and could have been easily avoided with a bit more care. What made it more disappointing was the lack of concern when I raised the issue. It felt brushed off rather than taken seriously. On top of that, my friend’s order was also wrong, which made the whole experience feel careless overall. Overall, just a very disappointing experience, especially given how simple it should have been to get right.
