  Came in with no call ahead or res, meal of different sauces, samosas, bread and rice came out within 15 minutes, and it was the tastiest shahi paneer I've had in Virginia. It's not meant for dining in, but they have the option.

  Small, casual place with delicious food and generous portions. There’s a small seating area and the food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. I tried the shahi paneer, malai kofta, samosa, and roti. The sauces were flavorful and not super spicy, and the kofta were some of the best I’ve ever tried. I wish there was more paneer in the dish, but the sauce was very tasty. The roti was hot and brushed with ghee, so good. I would definitely come back here.

  We have been coming here for as long as they have existed. They were our go-to during the pandemic and we still appreciate them for their great dinners. It has been a year or more since we had takeout from there, so we returned with all of our fond memories. The good news is that the Masala Express is even better than before. I believe they have slightly tweaked some of their spicing nuanced with some subtle heat, and the results are super delicious - just like Northern India where I lived for three years. The palak paneer is by far the tastiest and freshest I have experienced in the US or India. And both the butter chicken and dal makhami are superb. Portions are large and prices quite reasonable. Extremely nice owners. Highly recommended.

  Listen I Tried other place for these dishes and I knew it was somebody who could make it better I just had to find them and I did. God bless these hands who cook here or put the recipes together
