The seafood department was disappointing, both in terms of customer service and the quality of the food. On top of that, the parking situation was awkward and inconvenient. Overall, it wasn’t a great experience, and I don’t plan on returning.

Customer service is abhorrent at this Safeway, there might be a couple of helpful people here but the majority are so incredibly unhelpful! I will avoid this Safeway at all costs and make an effort NOT to go here or recommend this Safeway to my co-workers here.

Very rude staff! They stare like you are a thief - specially at the newly launched food counter. Few of the men who are assigned to watch the door and help the self checkout kiosks and the cashiers of this store are unaware of the offers the food counter provides - they don’t apply the offers unless you show the flyers of the discounts - which is hilarious cause you are the employee and you should know!
Now the food counter: they have 4 piece/8 piece fried chicken options. Once you add them in a box and arrive at the counter to get a QR code, there are employees who will ask you to open the box and check the number of pieces. This is extremely disrespectful! You can pack the box and not let customers pack for themselves if you are sure that people are stealing your food! That’s common sense!
Guys - just go to the Target store, it is right opposite to this Safeway store or buy from small businesses. I’m extremely disappointed with this store. I’m struggling to write this review cause there are some good staff working there too and I don’t want them to suffer due to a few bad apples!

Let me first start by saying I don’t mind this Safeway. What I do mind is a couple of things. let’s start with having no hot chickens available when your sign says hot chickens available and gives times. This was the afternoon yesterday Super Bowl Sunday and seems no planning involved. Not to mention being followed around the store by their young LP associate. I get it guy but you hovering by people within 5ish feet while they’re struggling to find shallots which are by the garlic… weird and then when we moved to make sure we had everything you followed us and hovered again. Sorry my guy but we weren’t the thieves there yesterday but did spot one you missed but who am I to judge your detective skills, but the icing on the cake and reason why I will never step foot back in your store again, I needed a pound and a half stew meat. In the case there were half pounds of stew beef for their 4/$20 deals and my husband kindly asked for this a man behind the counter said no problem. I patiently waited while my husband was finishing the shop for a good 10/15 minutes give or take and all I heard was grumbling from the meat guy while he was cutting up meat. I believe it was explained to him what I wanted numerous times. There was so much grumbling coming from that meat guy in the white coat that a man who was cleaning the sink with a green tool came over to look to see if there was any stew meat in the case. Then he came over to me personally and asked me did I want the stew meat and I explained to him that I needed a pound and a half of stew meat, he said it only comes packaged in the way it is on the shelf not how I wanted it but I explained I needed it so he walked off and explained to the meat guy. if you’re not gonna give it to me just say so but the fact that you wanted to grumble argue and I I don’t know do your job? very unnerved me add more grumbling (grumbling is words I couldn’t understand) happens and then the meat guy comes over to me with the package. You want the stew meat and I said yes, and he thrusted at me I took it and I walked away. It took everything in me trying not to cry out of pure anger for having one witnessing this man’s attitude, but having stand their whole time and be treated in that manner, but not losing my ever loving mind by having a few words because he deserved them. Be nicer to customers because after all if they stopped coming and shopping at your stores corporate will want to find out the reason why. ✌🏻

In a highly urban location, they simply do not have the space for a huge stock.
But they seem to be making the best use of the limited space they have.
In my experience, the staff was extremely helpful.
