The new remodel is so bad. Removing the refill station made a team already working hard have to stop their assigned McDonald’s job to refill my drink. Such a bad system. Food is McDonalds food so it’s solid. New space is way too small and feels so cramped.

This is essentially a drive through only location. Somehow the modern renovations created a smaller more compact dining area, a slightly wider drive through area preorder, and yet has 1/2 the parking. You also now need to make a u-turn when making a left into the store and they don’t seem to monitor their parking lot. Few customers in the store yet all spots were full. Good luck waiting in line! There are a couple of self help kiosks and 1 register. Pretty smart when a high school like to visit at lunch.
I ordered on the app, arrived 5+ min after the app alerted me it was ready, discovered the fancy new togo shelves were bare, waited another 5 min for the 1 front of house employee to show up so they could get my order from the back.
The Wilson Blvd renovation was a model of how it should be done so just go to that store for a better experience

This used to be a great McDonald's with a great staff and a wonderful atmosphere. After 5 months taken to tear it down and rebuild, they have managed to ruin everything that was good about it. The seating is a tiny fraction of what it was. All of the few tables were taken; the only option was to sit at a communal table. The service for pickup meals is much slower than before, with food not being put out when ready. The atmosphere is mechanical and sterile (not in the health sense of the word). What a shame.

Lowering my rating after the automated response - you'd think the franchisee would be monitoring these reviews. The message is clear after taking down the fence line mural and building a dining room with 4 tables: "we want make money off the neighborhood and it's kids, but we don't want you here for more than 5 minutes."

My kids and I were excited to see the newly remodeled location, a the place has the same footprint, but now there are only 4 to 5 tables. Really disappointing that they're sticking to a COVID era business model shaped around carry out and drive through. What are the doing with all the square footage...is this a front?

So this McDonalds is finally open again, and they spent over a year and a lot of money to make it worse in every way. The space for customers is tiny, maybe 1/6 of the total footprint. Perhaps three tables total. No PlayPlace, of course. This is really a drive-thru location now, I wouldn’t use it for anything else. Ordering ahead on the app is useless because they don’t start your order until you are there as reported by your surveillance phone. I waited 15 minutes for an order placed ahead; it would have been much faster to just do the drive-thru as that is all they really want to do at this location.
Oh, and they have only plowed part of their parking lot.
Drive-thru only if you like that sort of thing. I used to come here a lot before the rebuild, but they broke that habit for me and now it will stay broken.
