Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I won’t be returning to this — or any other — Giant location. I parked in the Giant lot before doing my shopping and walked to a nearby restaurant for a quick lunch. When I returned to begin my grocery run, my car was gone. It had been towed by the towing company contracted by Giant, despite the fact that I was planning to shop there immediately afterward. Being stranded in the parking lot and then forced to pay to retrieve my own car was incredibly frustrating and completely unnecessary. As a loyal customer, I expected better treatment and clearer, more reasonable parking policies. Instead, I was penalized before I even had the chance to walk into the store. When I went to the customer service desk to confirm whether they had requested the tow — and to return my membership card, which I no longer need — the employee I spoke with showed little concern about the situation. That interaction only added to the disappointment. After this experience, I’m done shopping at Giant. Fortunately, there are plenty of other grocery options in the area that don’t treat their customers this way.
- AFAmanda FabrayJan 6, 20261.0I recently moved to this area from Falls Church and I’d frequent the Giant there and I have to say, that one was much better…..my favorite thing to do was to get a fresh chicken or tenders for my lunch breaks…this giant still has chicken from 8 AM at 12:30!!…I’m often eating stale chicken for lunch and it’s quite unpleasant…..whoever is in charge should consider that most people come in during that lunch time and do not want chicken from that early. I’ve come once in the evening and the chicken was fresh and tasted way better, it’d be nice to have this during that crucial lunch hour.
