The manager ADELE was so COLD and UNHELPFUL. My family and I love Carlyle, we go there often and have never been disappointed. My parents took my partner and I (24 and 25) out to dinner, we had a problem ordering drinks because my partner only had an Australian drivers license (and a photo of their passport). The restaurant has a “no foreign ID” policy, which is annoying but understandable. However, the way the manger, Adele, handled the situation was totally unprofessional. Her attitude was rude and dismissive which only made the situation more frustrating. I’ve never had an employee, let alone a manager, at Great American treat me poorly enough to prompt an internet review until today but here we are.

We haven't been here in over a decade. The food is still pretty good. We had deviled eggs with a side of maple bacon, Corvina fish with grits and arugula, bacon cheeseburger, and a hangar steak. All were pretty good. We were too full to order dessert. Maybe on the next visit.

Went with coworkers during Christmas season. Really nice atmosphere. I call it classy/casual but good for business or a date. Good portions of food. I like fresh water fish and ordered the trout. I'm from the South so I like my sweet tea with lemon. Alot of places north of where I'm from don't have sweet tea and it wasn't a cheap instant tea. The service was good, with a professional, pleasant server/waitress staff. I don't know the correct title these days. Forgive me. But I enjoyed our visit.

Exceptional from beginning to end!
Came here for Friendsmas observed with my girlfriends. We were collectively blown away. This is my second time dining at Carlyle. They did not disappoint. The drinks and food all were flavorful, there wasn't anything I did not like. Please kiss the chef and bartender for me. My highlights were the following: Mango martini, jambalaya pasta and deep dish apple pecan pie.
While our server did have some slow points, left her shift without telling us... Management and the support staffed picked up where she lacked.
I raved about this place to my spouse after returning home to Richmond and will definitely be brining them here sooner rather than later. Don't second guess it, just go.

A friend (ex New Yorker) and I went out to celebrate our September birthdays, and let’s just say… Carlyle understood the assignment. ❤️
The moment we walked in, the lighting snapped us into main character mode. Soft, warm, and dangerous — the kind that makes your ex regret every life decision. 😱 The ambiance was pure old-Hollywood glamour with a modern edge.
And then the music started.
Not just jazz 🎷👐— a full Sinatra-inspired singer and band delivering vocals smoother than half the men who’ve tried to approach me this year. He had that classic crooner tone — effortlessly charming, a little nostalgic, but with enough swagger to remind you this wasn’t a tribute act… this was a moment.
The band? Tight, polished, and dripping with talent. Not a single note out of place.
The kind of sound that doesn’t just fill a room — it owns it.
The servers glided around like trained spies from a 1960s Bond film. No chaos, no hovering, just perfect timing with every cocktail. And the drinks? Let’s just say they went down easier than half the bad decisions we didn’t make.
My friend and I toasted to our September birthdays like two women who know exactly who they are. We whispered secrets, collected stares, and soaked in the kind of atmosphere that makes you believe you should probably start charging appearance fees.
Carlyle Club isn’t for the timid.
It’s for people who appreciate mood, mastery, and music with enough Sinatra soul to make you melt.
If you’re looking for a basic night out… try elsewhere. But if you want to feel cinematic, seductive, and slightly above everyone else’s tax bracket —
