Decided to come to BWW on a Sunday evening instead of going to another local bar because I knew BWW would have the Chargers v Jaguars game. Went in with a friend – I’ll just note that my expectations of the service at BWW is low and I don’t expect five, four, or even three star service – and we got some beers and wings for food. Da’Miya was our server, and I am only mentioning her because she really negatively impacted our evening while trying to enjoy some Sunday football. I really don’t like to call servers out, but this was just too much not to mention. She was rude to us RIGHT off the get-go, unattentive, and just, if I haven’t said it enough yet, rude.
We asked for water, and she took 25 minutes to grab it. Even after we asked, she still took a while. She could not be bothered to come to a stop when we asked her for something, but she did spend at least 15 minutes at a table with two guys, chatting with them for a long time. In the interim, someone else brought my food out, and it was wrong. She brought it out, and then I asked for a fork, and she just decided to go to 5 other tables instead of just grabbing it. After 5 minutes of waiting, I went to the bar, and then she saw me coming and handed another server a wet fork, and then that waitress proceeded to hand it to me. Nice.
She also went right outside the glass and ripped her vape, blowing it right outside the windows of the restaurant, and then came back in and didn’t wash her hands before handling food or serving other tables. Violation? Maybe?
She then brought out our check but came with two drinks in her hands - she didn’t say anything, she just held out the drink and looked away. I said, nicely, “sorry we didn’t order any drinks” she snapped “take the receipt”. I was like Ok… Just rude. I get it if people have a bad day, don’t want to engage, are a little slow, but being overtly rude is not okay with me. As a patron, I expect to not be treated poorly, especially if I am being kind back. Not once did I rush her, request too much, I always said “may I please”, “Thank you so much!” - so to not be extended the bare minimum of courtesy sucks, quite frankly.
Overall, I think there are a lot better options in the area for football. I know, if you’re reading this, you’re like, really, he’s leaving a review for Buffalo Wild Wings. But I had to just call out someone being rude and providing terrible service. Buffalo Bad Wings tonight.
I think some manager might respond and be like "we'll make this right- fill out this form", but at this point, just ask your waiters not to be rude! You don't need a form for that. Have some pride in your business location.
