Safeway's cake was at another level from the so called "Specialized bakery". The cake exceeded our expectations from this day forward this is our place for all our baked needs. Hats of to the Baker!
- FSF SApr 2, 20261.0UPDATE: BUYER BEWARE! They charged me for an order that I did NOT pick up. Now I have to fight with my bank for a refund. Even though they claim to help in their response below, they have ignored my outreach to fix this order. I will delete my Safeway app and never shop this company again. I have been going to this Safeway for well over 10 years. I loved this Safeway and was choosing to drive out of my way from National Landing to shop here. However, last night I had a very concerning experience with a pick-up order. The associate was extremely rude to me and was throwing my items in my cart, heavy stuff on top of salad, etc. When she threw the ham on top of the salad container, I started recording. When I noticed the BBQ sauce bottle was extremely dented, I chose to request a cancellation of the entire order as I had frozen stuff and didn't trust that it was properly handled. This woman (Doula? Dola?) went ahead and marked it as "picked up" AFTER I said I wanted it canceled. So, now I'm fighting to get my money back. NOT worth the stress, the time spent correcting this woman's actions and the gas money to get there. After this experience, I will NEVER shop at this Safeway again. It has gone downhill fast.

I drove 10 minutes to get there, only to wait even longer because the order wasn’t ready. The people at pick up spend more time talking and stopping to catch up rather than get the orders out. It’s like they don’t care about out time or doing their job well. The staff don’t know who is preparing the order or how long it would take, which made the process very frustrating and inefficient. Better coordination and communication would improve services here.
