  I recently celebrated my birthday here! I had never been before but I'm so glad I chose this place. The food is absolutely amazing; in a table of 10 people, everyone had a perfect plate. Everything tasted fresh and I felt the portion sizes and drinks were generous. The service was what really made my night special. They gave me a call beforehand to make sure everything was correct for my large reservation, and they were very accommodating. Everyone I spoke to was genuinely kind and knowledgeable. I would entrust more special events in the future to this place!

  North Old Town wouldn’t be the same without Oak Steakhouse. The Parker House rolls are perfection, the pork chop is the sleeper hit of the menu, and the cocktails are always spot-on. But it’s the service that sets them apart. Todd, the restaurant manager, has built a culture that puts customers first, and his servers make walking into Oak feel like coming home. We’re lucky to have a place in Alexandria that still believes in delighting its guests. We celebrated a birthday there recently and were treated like family. And speaking of delight, don’t forget to grab a coffee cake on your way out. A little morning treat, courtesy of Oak and friends.

  Was visiting some old friends in Alexandria and wanted to have a great Steak dinner.. Todd the GM really made it a special night. The steaks here live up to Texas style Steakhouses. We really had a great time.. Thanks Todd for making it a special night. Highly recommend this restaurant.

  One of my favorite, if not favorite, steakhouses in the DMV. I've been here a few times -- for casual dinners and celebrations -- and the whole dining experience is always second to none. For our most recent visit, the staff and manager took such exceptional care for us to send our friend away for his new job. It was bittersweet, but we couldn't have hosted it at a better spot. Their drink selection, ribeye cuts, and side dishes are always perfect. I could eat their mac and cheese for every meal and they have the best burrata. If you're looking for an elegant, dark/rustic feeling indoor vibe, this is the spot. I also LOVE that they aren't in the thick of King St - rarely fighting crowds or other cars for parking. 10/10 every time.

  Visiting Oaks Steakhouse from out of state, we had such a wonderful experience from start to finish. I called ahead and spoke with Todd, who was incredibly kind and accommodating for our party of five. When we arrived, Todd greeted us and seated us right away. He truly radiates light and joy, setting the tone for the entire evening. Our server, Alison, was an absolute gem—attentive, personable, and on top of everything. The food was outstanding. We ordered the ribeye, New York steak, and filet mignon, all cooked to perfection. The Oysters Rockefeller were superb! I had asked for my daughter’s meal to come out as soon as possible, and they made it happen without hesitation, which we really appreciated. For sides, we had the Brussels sprouts—perfectly balanced, sweet but not overly so—and the creamed corn, which was absolutely on point. We didn’t end up ordering dessert, but the options looked amazing and tempting! Todd came by our table to check in, which added such a personal touch. The ambiance was lovely, and as we were leaving, Todd walked us outside and spent a few moments chatting with us—it truly meant a lot. Todd and Alison made our experience at The Oaks unforgettable, along with the incredible food. Thank you both—we hope to see you again soon! —SoCal Visitors
