I recently tried the Salmon Teriyaki at Japomen and it was absolutely amazing! The salmon was cooked perfectly — tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The teriyaki sauce had the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and it complemented the fish so well without overpowering it.
The portion size was generous, and everything on the plate tasted fresh and high quality. The service was also excellent friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere made the experience even better.
Definitely one of the best salmon teriyaki dishes I’ve had. I’ll be coming back for it again!

I had an amazing experience at Japomen! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The sushi was perfectly made, and the ramen had such a rich, comforting broth.
The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overwhelming. The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and perfect for both a casual meal or a nice dinner out.
Overall, Japomen exceeded my expectations. Great food, great service, and great vibes. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone who loves Japanese cuisine!

This was our first time coming here, and we were genuinely excited to try it.
Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.
It took an unreasonable amount of time to receive our order, and I had to ask multiple times for the additional items I had already paid for with my meal. I was not greeted when I arrived and had to initiate interaction with the employees myself. There was no apology for the excessive wait and no sense of urgency from the staff.
To make matters worse, the food was mediocre and absolutely not worth the long wait. Overall, it felt like a complete waste of time and money. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this place.

I frequented Japomen often when they had a woodbridge location and was devastated when they closed. I’ve been going to the tysons location since the woodbridge one closed but I was so excited to find out one is now open in alexandria which is way closer to me!!! At this location, they take your order at the table rather than ordering and paying first. I always get the wagyu ramen which I love but I did find the broth a little sweeter than the other locations. The japo nuggets are always amazing and i tried the waygu nigiri and it was really good!! The wasabi under the beef threw me off at first since i’ve never had wasabi before but I still enjoyed it. I would have gotten another order of it if it wasnt $10 for 2 pieces lol I will definitely be back!

I ordered the chicken katsu curry with rice, yakisoba with shrimp, boa buns with spicy pork and sushi (tuna lover roll and sakura roll). I spent 75 for the order. The chicken katsu was half edible. Half of it was like freezer burned and chewy. It was inedible. The other half of it was ok. You could even tell from how it looked the other half that the texture was different. The yakisoba was ok. It didn't taste like standard yakisoba. It also only had 7 very small shrimp. The boa buns were lackluster. They needed more veggies (picked veggies) to give it that crunch which is needed to texture. The flavor was ok. The sushi was good. The best dish was the tuna lover roll. Nice flavor and contrast in texture. I would probably not go again especially for how it cost.
