  This is our 2nd Anniversary celebration. 2022 and again in 2026. Service was definitely a bit slower, even with a light crowd. Drinks: Old Fashioned and Piña Colada. Old Fashioned tastes like whiskey and water. Piña Colada was very light on the rum - both sent back. Food: Salad bar, Clam Chowder, Prime Rib, Chimichurri steak and shrimp. Dessert was the lava cake and ice cream. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Highly recommend those items. As requested, had a perfect seat with a view of the water. Only complaints was the service and dirty plates mixed with clean at the salad bar. I'm sure that was a diner, not the staff. Wait staff/clean up crew was out there hustling.

  My husband and I used to come to the Chart House frequently but for me lately the food has not been good the normal thing that I order is chopped salad with salmon the salad was not chopped it was a regular salad it was not tasty the salmon was not well seasoned even the manager said that the menu for the chopped salad was different in that the manager liked the previous chopped salad better this is my third time coming trying to get the tasty meal that I used to get and was disappointed three times I ended up ordering egg white omelette instead and it was oily I don't know what happened as far as those who are cooking but I don't plan on coming back and it's unfortunate because the Ambiance is very nice Ethan our waiter was absolutely wonderful he made the experience so nice he was very accommodating Ethan such a wonderful person with such a great personality he made the experience worthwhile

  We have been here several times as locals. We celebrated our last wedding anniversary here and had several business lunches here. We came tonight to celebrate my husband’s birthday and made sure to note that in our 6pm reservation. We were sat 25 mins after our reservation and our server did not greet us for 10 minutes - when he did he poured my husband water but not me. Since we had ten minutes we were actually ready to order. But after he poured the one water he ran off. When he came back we ordered wine- again we were ready to order but he ran off again. After our wine we placed our order. Me - the beet salad with a rare fillet with truffle fries and my husband the chowder and prime rib. Our salad and soup were great. Our server tried to grab my half eaten salad with asking but I wanted a box for it - so he brought one when I stopped him. During the salad course he filled my husbands water but forgot to fill up mine again. When our meal arrived my steak was over cooked med rare/ medium. And my fries were regular. Our server never asked if we wanted another round of wine with our meal- which we would have ordered. But it took so long for our server to come over and check. And we had to keep asking for water which he commented you all drink a lot of water. The restaurant today was very warm and we had been there for two plus hours. After we boxed our leftovers it took a long time to get our check and payment. We left 2.25 hours later and no one acknowledged my husbands birthday. For our anniversary we got a nice card. On our way out the hosts never said goodbye and acknowledged us. I worked in restaurants for almost a decade and get understand being busy but when you spend a night out at a nice restaurant for a special occasion it is disappointing when every step of service falls short.

  My wife and I had just got married this afternoon and randomly walked into the Chart House in Alexandria. We were obviously dressed up because of our ceremony. The restaurant was pretty quiet due to only being noon on a Wednesday…. However, the staff met us at the front door and were exceptionally friendly as the took photos of us. I did not get the hostess’ name, but she was very kind. We were sat next to the window with beautiful views of the harbor and the Potomac. Due to our special occasion, they treated us to a glass of celebratory champagne. Our server, Kim was amazing, friendly, and attentive. Also, Ashley checked in on us on multiple occasions to make sure our experience was great. We ordered the filet, calamari, and oysters. Everything was terrific, and I am a steak snob…. 😬 Kim also made our drinks which hit the spot! Upon find out out about our special occasion, Chef Ramon created a special desert for us. It was a dish with strawberries and red velvet cake, topped with whipped cream. I would definitively recommend for a daily happy hour, or your special occasion meal. They definitely made us feel special on our special day! Gave five stars, would have given more if I could have!

  My husband and I came in to celebrate our wedding. As soon as we walked in the atmosphere was great. We were greeted with such a beautiful welcome, got our pictures taken. Lunch was delicious and Ashley, Chef Ramon and Kim were so amazing with us and made our experience so special for us!!! We even received a congratulations card signed by everyone here and Champagne! Thank you so much ya’ll!!! This means to much to us, particularly, we’re military and no one of our family members was here locally, yet you all got to share it with us and made sure it was so special!!! We felt that you all did and were so excited and genuinely happy for us!!!
