Nice new store has huge isles and a great selection. Their prices are very reasonable and I am grateful for the price wars that they have bought to the valley.

They have amazing deals, and amazing things, and everything always looks clean and stocked, however the workers dont seem so nice. This lady seemed extremely rude, she was ignoring the things my mom was saying and she just kept giving a dirty look while my my mom was so nice, and she kept looking away like she had a problem with us, there was also another lady when we were trying to get a free balloon for my baby sister, we were walking forward to ask for one, I dont know if she knew we were going to ask for one, but we looked at her and the balloons, and she looked at us, but than she grabbed one balloon and walked over to another child with the child's parent and they werent even leaving yet they were still checking out in the self checkout area, and im not trying to say it is, but it seemed just a little racist in that store or at least very judgmental because it was like some people were looking at us like we were dirty or something. Overall the store was amazing, just not the workers.
We had ordered a cake for a family birthday from the bakery, and when we arrived there was some confusion about where the order was. It was a stressful moment with a birthday on the line, but Emily absolutely saved the day.
She calmly stepped in, asked us to give her about an hour, and went straight to work. What she created was nothing short of amazing: a beautiful, decadent German chocolate cake that tasted as good as it looked. You would never have known there had been an issue.
Emily’s professionalism, kindness, and skill turned what could have been a disappointment into a total win. The birthday was a success because of her, and we left impressed and grateful.

Do you remember what it was like going to the grocery store as a kid? The possibilities and the excitement over trying something new or would love to eat again. Tonight I was a kid again for a brief moment in Smith's marketplace and when the pessimistic, lazy, excuse making adult in me returned I found myself saying things like "Wow the drive from the other end of town isn't so bad on Friday night" and "I might cancel Wal-Mart+“.
Okay so here we go I showed up at Smith's marketplace at approximately 10:45 on Friday night thinking that like Walmart I am going to have to run and get all my crap quick because they're going to tell me just as I'm walking through the door that I need to get my shit and get out. (essentially)
So I rushed though the store trying to look at as much as I could as quickly as I could. The fresh produce, huge bakery and deli, wide isles and selection of so many things!
almost running thru the store I kept thinking why haven't they announced that the store is closing and then something amazing happened I reached the beer isle as the little kid in me disappeared the adult in me almost cried for it was a "I'm not in Utah anymore kind of experience." still rushing I grabbed my beer and headed for the front to self checkout hoping that they would actually take my E gift card unlike Lucky's that refused. not only did they take it there was an option for it right on the payment screen. A beautiful courteous woman working there came over to check my ID (cuz like it or not I am still in Utah) gave me a Smiths card that saved me $5 and also stated that they are open until midnight on weekends. well I just about left my items in her capable hands and went back into the store. however not wanting to look like an idiot I grabbed my things and slowly headed for the door assuring the inner child in me don't worry we'll be back.
I'd give this store and experience 6 stars if I could and while I don't care to do reviews very much anymore this one had to be done.
