It’s going to be a long time before I come back to this location. The evening employees are rude. The woman who took my order through the drive-through asked me to repeat almost everything I said. Then, when she still couldn’t hear me, there were long stretches of silence where she wouldn’t say anything. When I got to the drive-up window, the cashier said nothing and just held out the payment pad for me to tap, but I was paying with cash. She seemed very annoyed that she had to give me change. While I was waiting for my food, an employee asked if I wanted ice in my drink, and when I said yes, she seemed even more annoyed. I had really hoped my food would be delicious, but the fries were over-seasoned with their fake rosemary seasoning, and when I bit into my burger, it was raw. I called the store, and talked to the assistant manager, Lucas, who told me that he could give me a refund but since I paid cash I would have to go back to the store. He told me on the phone that he would also give me a gift card for a free burger for my trouble. When I got there, he had my refund ready but no gift card. I asked if he was still going to still offer a gift card. He seemed hesitant but eventually made the gift card. You’d think it would end there—but it didn’t. I was in my car about to reverse and leave when the assistant manager ran out to my car and asked for the gift card back because he didn’t think it had actually gone through. I sat in my car waiting almost ten minutes for him to return. I eventually went inside and saw him doing other things. When I asked about the gift card, he told me I would have to come back later in the week and that he or the other manager, Luis, would give me a meal equal to the amount on the gift card. I told him I wasn’t coming back anytime soon because of everything that had happened. I ended up leaving without the gift card at all. And here’s the kicker—it’s my birthday. I chose Cubby’s because I thought I would get a quality meal on my birthday. Instead, I had to deal with rude staff, biting into a raw burger, having to calling the store, driving back for a refund, and then being told I wouldn’t get the gift card I was promised. I am so disappointed in Cubby’s, and I don’t think I’ll be back
