Called around 10pm and the woman at the store told me that because she was the “only one working since 5pm, that incoming orders would be cancelled because it’s too busy.” Also told me I could not order a sandwich as there’s only one sandwich bread left and “the boss wanted it to last.” -Cancelling orders because the person working is incompetent and cannot handle working alone. (I understand understaffing, but if you know you’re understaffed, don’t put people on who can’t work under pressure.) -Charged for two orders over $30, only for it to be cancelled TWICE and the refund is “pending.” (Charged twice, no food,) -Worker told me there was an “automated AI system that detects how many people are on shift, and how many people are on deliveries. If it’s too busy, all incoming orders get blocked.” -Hoarding ingredients for managers lunch? (Get a sandwich elsewhere dude.) TLDR; got charged twice for orders I didn’t even receive. Had an incompetent teen tell me a line of Ai-related tomfoolery, told me “yes we are open but I’m working alone so your orders will keep getting cancelled.” Ridiculous. If you’re understaffed to the point where you can’t take orders; either close- or hire more folks. Jesus.
