This used to be a favorite, but we haven’t been in a while and won’t be visiting again. The alfredo tasted exactly like pasta ‘roni from the box. I’d be shocked to find out they use any actual Parmesan cheese. The beef medallions were perfectly cooked, but the presentation was messy and lack-luster. It says it comes with mushrooms and there were two tiny slices of a mushroom. It was fine at best and not worth the price. The atmosphere was the best part.

This is my second time here. Not a huge fan of it. It comes off as a very fancy place, and the prices reflect that but the quality of food is what I’d expect at a family dinner place. Several of us got the same beef medallions and mine were way overcooked and others were still quite rare in the middle. Rather inconsistent. They gave us some bread prior to sitting down and wow that is nice. The bread was not very good and the butter was not very good butter. The lobster bisque was very good. It was sweet and creamy and had a great amount of spices. I would’ve preferred to just have another bowl of the lobster bisque for my main course.

Overstuffed with ok food that’s way too expensive. It all looks pretty but is made with cheap American ingredients that are rather flavourless, and too salty. We could have made better at home with good organic/local ingredients. One salad (“chopped greens”) was made with iceberg lettuce (fairly tasteless under the best circumstances), not interesting greens. The espresso machine seems to be not in good working order, so only one of the two espressos we ordered came. A good “caffè normale” is an essential topper to an Italian cena! It was not high quality and too long out of the machine, so a bit oxidised, and no crema (fortunately the server did not charge us for them). Everything also took a long time to come. On the upside, most things were freshly made and we don’t feel ill afterwards. However, over-large portions do not make up for cheap-assed quality. The wine was good. The overall cost is I think going to their rent for a “premium” space in an unregulated commercial rent market, which is true almost everywhere in Salt Lake City.

I went with a group, but that doesn't excuse poor quality. I had the fresh lemonade to drink. I couldnt drink it, as the "fresh" lemons had turned. Maybe that why it needs a sugar rim to mask the rot. I had the lobster bisque to start my meal. It was rather bland and no lobster flavor. I had the chicken marsala with mushrooms, served with mashed potatoes and grilled asparagus. The chicken was dried out, the sauce had congealed on the chicken, and the plate was extremely hot. (Heat Lamp). The mashed potatoes were plain and unremarkable. The grilled asparagus was overdone and mushy. All in all, the meal was awful and glad I didnt pay. While this place might have great food, they definitely missed the mark.
