Brought three out of state guests to Brio on 4/27. We had a 6:30 PM reservation. When we entered the restaurant it was maybe 10% full. No one was at the host desk and there were several people standing there. Eventually someone came up and stated that they were understaffed and not taking any walk-ins. I shared we had a reservation and was told it was a 30 minute wait. After the wait, when we seated, the server came to the table and told us that they were out of almost everything on the menu. We finally found some items they did have. Not anyone's first choice. The food we were served was mediocre at best. Overpriced for the quality provided. If staffing and resources are that poor, the restaurant should have closed. I was embarrassed that I selected this restaurant for my guests. I wish we would have gone somewhere else. I won't roll the dice with Brio ever again.

We dined here on a Sunday evening, fully aware that Phantom was playing across the street, so the initial 45-minute wait was understandable. What followed, however, was not. At least fifteen menu items were unavailable. After placing our order, we were informed—fifteen minutes later—that even the dressing for our Caesar salads was out of stock. Shortly after, we were told our appetizers hadn’t even been started and that our entrées would take another hour. This wasn’t a busy night surprise—it was a failure to prepare for a completely predictable surge in demand. When you operate next to a theater with scheduled performances, planning isn’t optional. It’s fundamental. The one bright spot of the evening was Alexandra, our waitress. She handled an undeniably frustrating situation with professionalism, empathy, and genuine care. She apologized sincerely and did everything within her control to make things right. The decision to comp drinks and the limited appetizers we did receive was appreciated, but it doesn’t address the root issue. This experience points squarely to upper management. You know your traffic patterns. You know your peak times. Plan. Do better.

We came across this restaurant by chance, and it immediately caught our attention with its inviting atmosphere both inside and outside. From the very beginning, it felt like a place with great taste and attention to detail. It was a late dinner, and we didn’t want anything heavy. We were looking for something light, yet truly delicious. We decided to go with salads as our main dishes — and it turned out to be a perfect choice. I ordered a chicken and strawberry salad. It was beautifully presented, and the taste was absolutely amazing — fresh, well-balanced, and with a unique combination of flavors. My friend chose a salmon salad, and it was equally delicious. The portions were generous — definitely enough for a main course. We felt satisfied, but not heavy — just pure enjoyment from the food. We also ordered a pizza to go for breakfast. The dough was thin and crispy, with a subtle smoky flavor. You can really tell that the pizza is cooked over fire, which gives it a special character. The service was also excellent — attentive, calm, and not intrusive. Overall, this is definitely a place worth coming back to. It’s perfect for those who appreciate high-quality, light, and healthy food without mayonnaise or heavy sides. I truly wish this restaurant continued success and highly recommend visiting it.

I regret that even one star must be awarded, as it lends this establishment a generosity it has not earned. My wife and I, both in our later years, have dined in countless establishments over the decades—many fine, some forgettable—but never have we encountered an experience so profoundly lacking in both hospitality and basic decency as what we endured at Brio Italian Grille. Having each spent time in the restaurant industry in our youth, we are neither unreasonable nor unfamiliar with the occasional misstep. What we encountered, however, was not a misstep—it was a complete abandonment of professionalism. Upon arrival, we waited nearly twenty minutes before being acknowledged. Once seated, our server appeared briefly, took a drink request, and then vanished. It took an additional ten minutes to receive even water and bread—the latter being quite possibly the most unpleasant I have been served. I ordered an Old Fashioned, calamari, and a New York strip; my wife selected tea, shrimp and eggplant, and the salmon fresca. Our beverages, I should note, never arrived at any point during the meal. The appetizers, delivered after an extended delay, were stale and unappetizing, as though they had been languishing under a heat lamp for far too long. Our server made no effort to check on us thereafter, though we observed her enjoying herself with colleagues nearby. An hour passed before our main courses arrived. My steak was so excessively salted it was inedible, while my wife’s salmon was dry and the accompanying asparagus undercooked. At this point, we requested to speak with a manager. When she finally approached, her demeanor was dismissive and overtly condescending. Rather than addressing our concerns with even a semblance of professionalism, she implied that we were attempting to secure complimentary food under false pretenses—despite the fact that the majority of our meals remained untouched. More astonishing still, she informed us that any attempt to correct the dishes would incur an additional charge. As she departed, she proceeded to speak disparagingly about us within earshot, referring to us in terms no guest—let alone two elderly patrons—should ever be subjected to. When she realized we could hear her, she simply lowered her voice and continued. To conclude this unfortunate evening, she returned not with a resolution, but with a suggestion that we purchase additional take-home items and provide our email addresses for promotions. It was, frankly, astonishing. We arrived anticipating a pleasant meal and left having neither eaten nor been treated with even the most basic courtesy. I have seldom felt so disrespected in a public establishment. It is my sincere belief that without significant changes in management and culture, this location will continue to fail those it is meant to serve. No guest should be made to feel as we did. I would be remiss not to add that this experience will not end with this review. Over the years, I have cultivated a wide circle of colleagues, business associates, friends, and family—many of whom frequently dine out and value thoughtful recommendations. I will be ensuring that each of them is made fully aware of the treatment we received at this location, and I will strongly advise that they take their patronage elsewhere. An establishment that conducts itself in this manner does not merit the support of those who appreciate proper service, and I will see to it that this is clearly understood within my circles.
