Salad lacked completely. Turkey/chicken with grains, feta, avocado, cucumber.
Avocado almost invisible, cucumbers old, lettuce needs to be cut so can eat on the go. Dressings... didn't add any benefit.

Oof. I love Panera, but my last visit to this one was disappointing. I will say the girl at the counter was very friendly and apologetic for the wait. However, the pastry was so dry and the coffee was lukewarm. This Panera needs some help.

Genuinely the worst service I have ever experienced. Workers were very rude.

Panera Bread presents itself as a warm, wholesome refuge — a café‑bakery hybrid promising comfort, craft, and a touch of rustic charm. Unfortunately, the reality often feels more like a microwaved approximation of what the menu photos suggest.
The soups, once the brand’s pride, can arrive lukewarm and oddly uniform in texture, as if they were ladled from a vat rather than prepared with any real care. The famed Broccoli Cheddar, for example, tends to veer between overly thick and strangely watery, depending on the day. The sandwiches don’t fare much better: bread that should be the star of the show often tastes dry or stale, and the fillings can feel sparse, leaving you wondering where the rest of your $14 went.
Salads, while visually appealing, lean heavily on pre‑packaged ingredients, and the dressings can be aggressively sweet or disappointingly bland. Even the pastries — the one area where a bakery‑café should shine — can taste like they’ve been sitting out just a bit too long, losing the flakiness and freshness they promise.
The atmosphere doesn’t help. What should be a cozy, inviting space often feels chaotic, with crowded seating, slow service, and a dining room that struggles to stay clean during busy hours. For a place that markets itself as a calm, elevated alternative to fast food, the experience can feel surprisingly rushed and impersonal.
In the end, Panera Bread offers the idea of comfort food more convincingly than the food itself. It’s not terrible — just consistently underwhelming, especially for the price.
Panera Bread offers a menu of soups, salads, and sandwiches made with quality, clean ingredients.
