Of the various Indian/Himalayan/Tibetan restaurants in SLC, we’ve narrowed on Himalayan Kitchen as our go to for dinner delivery. We consistently order once or so a month, usually a couple of veggie dishes and a chicken dish. Their saag is good (usually bright green); I always order the aloo gobi (I ask them to go heavy on the potatoes, which are big chunks). The tandoori chicken is also good. I usually order the food as hot as possible. I’d take it hotter, but it’s not bad as far as actual spicy things go. You can tell me there’s better food elsewhere, but I’ve tried most of it and this is where I keep coming back.

Best of Utah hands down. Skip all the other places and come straight here...yes, I have tried the other "popular" places. Himalayan Kitchen dishes have the perfect balance of spices and flavor. Medium spice is truly medium spice without drowning out the other flavors..mild spice is flavorful...not soupy or bland like the other places around. The atmosphere and service are always great. Both locations in downtown and South Jordan are good.

I love their curry! I personally think it is some of the best in SLC. I prefer thick curry and theirs is very definitely thick. They also use a good amount of meat. This is not skimpy Indian food!
