The greeter and manager at the front desk were attentive and provided good service. They seated us quickly. They fixed our cards that weren't reading.
Gianna was our waitress. She was professional, knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients, and was very friendly and accommodating. She was on top of refills and all of our requests.
The food and drinks came out fast, hot and fresh. There were good portions and food was tasty.
The atmosphere was fun with good music. They had the games playing on the TVs.
Games were new and awarding with lots of tickets. On Wednesdays, the games are half off, so we got to play a lot of them, multiple times! Needless to say, we had a blast!! We take our kids here often and it never disappoints.
I just recently came back from this location, and my server Lou was the sweetest, most attentive server I’ve ever had. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, and the service was impeccable. No cons, all pros. Thank again to my server Lou for making my night the most enjoyable experience I’ve had at an establishment like this!
This place was truly a disappointment. I went with a group of friends for our friend's birthday and ended up getting very little out of this place for the money spent. Firstly, the food was pretty bad. It was cold and the sides were unseasoned. Then, the drinks. Far too expensive, far too weak, far too stingy. I had two mixed drinks with my dinner. Over the duration of four hours, I only had those two drinks. Like any place in Utah, two drinks barely makes you feel warm. The alcohol content was probably the same as Texas Roadhouse, and if you've had their drinks you know how weak they are. After eating and playing games for a while, we decided to all do a round of shots. The bar told our group that we were too intoxicated and couldn't be served. No one in our group was drunk, barely tipsy if that. Genuinely, your better off getting far more intoxicated at a sushi restaurant ordering a small sake, eating some actual good food, and walking to a random arcade, all while spending less money. Truthfully, we had a big group and I think they were being lazy and didn't want to deal with 10 people. As far as the arcade goes, it's an arcade. It's a money drain with no return. In all, I spent $90 for dinner, two drinks, and four games. Most of the time we just talked to each other because there wasn't much to do. I absolutely understand why we don't have more of these in Utah, because I can't imagine a lot of people would want to travel to come here. The fact that they're located in a mall in SLC probably keeps them afloat. Thankfully, in the end, I can have fun with my friends in a dumpster so it was still a good night. Although, this place definitely was the wrong destination and was like a wet blanket.

My family and I have been longtime Dave & Buster’s customers and visit our home location every other week. It’s always been a great place for our kids to play arcade games while my wife and I sit down and have a couple of drinks.
On February 17, 2026, while visiting Utah, we stopped at the Salt Lake City location. Before sitting down, we spent about $150 on arcade cards for our kids. We clearly told our waitress, Blaize, multiple times that we were not ordering food, we had already eaten and were only there for drinks while the kids played.
After finishing my first 22oz IPA, she offered a second. I agreed. Only after the second drink was delivered and I had already started drinking it did she inform us of a “policy” requiring food if more than one alcoholic drink is served to the same person.
This was never disclosed when we sat down, ordered the first round, or when the second drink was offered. The menus had already been removed after we stated we weren’t eating. We were then told we had to order something small like chips and salsa. At that point, we had no choice but to comply.
The chips and salsa were untouched when we left. The receipt reflects it. Only after my wife addressed the situation did the waitress attempt to discount the bill. Despite everything, we still left a tip.
If this is company policy, it should be clearly communicated upfront, not enforced after drinks are already served. We were paying customers who had already spent $150 that night.
Because of how this was handled, we will not be returning to this location or any Dave & Buster’s again.

My husband and I went out to dinner yesterday to celebrate his birthday, as we also did on my birthday and several other occasions. Unfortunately, yesterday we had an unpleasant situation. We were in a hurry because we were going to see a movie at the cinema, we informed our server and asked her to pay in advance. I could tell she was quite busy, but she did the job very quickly. Then, when we received our food from someone who appeared to be the manager, he informed us that the meat was overcooked and asked if we would like them to redo it. He was very polite. At that moment, the server came to our table and I asked for a refill of water for us, and in a very rude way she said “I can see your empty glass”. I was shocked by the attitude towards me, considering that at no point had I been rude to her. I've worked as a server for 3 years and I've never treated a customer this way, I never write reviews about bad service, but being rude is a little too much, don’t matter how busy you are. Despite everything, the experience was pleasant up to this point; the food was a little greasy but it was good.
