This place used to be the best. It’s horrible now. Turn around. Go somewhere else. Got a bento box- teriyaki chicken was thin dry charred and teriyaki sauce just squirted on top (tasted like it was from a bottle), the water was nasty, the miso soup was barely warm, potstickers had no flavor… surely I though they couldn’t mess up the rice? But it was overcooked and NOT sticky. I wiped my baby’s mouth with their napkins and she had hair on her mouth from the napkin!!! Disgusting. Overall-bland, they cut corners, overcooked, and not sanitary.

The happy sumo is a good and “fancy-ish” restaurant. We got the Tuna Tataki and it was 5/5! The service is good and the restaurant is kept pretty clean as well. The sushi tastes fresh and that Tuna was the best tuna i’ve ever had. I’d recommend to try this place out!

This sushi place never disappoints. The fish is always fresh, the flavors are amazing, and I love that they constantly introduce new varieties. Everything is delicious!

Waited for over an hour to get 3 rolls. It wasn't even crowded. Waitress offered a lame apology which was, "sorry for the wait." That was it. No explanation of why it took so long and acted like we'd only be waiting for like 5 min. I bumped into a friend while there who experienced the same thing. He said he feels like the place is going to be gone soon. It used to be packed with and frequently had a wait. Now you can basically walk in anytime. Looks like I'll be going to Tsunami from now on. I used to love Happy Sumo and would eat here all the time. I have spend a lot of money there over the years but unfortunately the last several times have been anything but "Happy."
