Former Employee Review
The management at this location is extremely poor. For example, if a customer had a food allergy and their order was made incorrectly, instead of remaking the sandwich, management would insist on just removing the ingredient, even when the allergen had already touched the food. If you tried to point out how unsafe that was, you’d be screamed at.
Food safety in general was a huge problem. If food was dropped on the floor, it was still used. Gloves were rarely worn by the people making sandwiches. Handwashing was basically never done properly or for long enough. Temperatures on food safety logs were always faked, sometimes by huge amounts, like meat that had been sitting for hours being recorded far above the actual temperature, or Frosty mix that wasn’t kept cold enough.
On top of all that, the manager constantly yelled at employees for small mistakes, creating a really hostile work environment. And if customers ever complained (often rightfully), Adriana would respond with completely unnecessary attitude and sass.
During my time there, the most alarming issue was the complete disregard for basic food safety. Expiration labels meant nothing. Ingredients that should have been thrown away were kept far past their safe window, and no one saw a problem with using them anyway. Prep stations were rarely cleaned properly; they were usually wiped down with rags that were already filthy, which just spread grease and bacteria instead of removing it.
The deeper cleaning tasks were ignored. Drains weren’t touched, the areas under equipment were left coated in grime, and the hood vents went without cleaning for stretches of time that would horrify you. Even the dishes we were supposed to use were sometimes still greasy or visibly dirty, but we were told to use them anyway. Towels meant for one task were used for everything, from wiping counters to touching raw food prep surfaces to cleaning up spills on the floor. The mop water often sat far longer than it should have.
Training barely existed. New hires were thrown straight onto the line without instruction and then blamed for mistakes they had never been taught to avoid. Safety rules, especially for the grills and fryers, were unexistsnt. I watched minors (fifteen-year-olds) be told to drop fries even though it was clearly against policy and potentially dangerous for them. Nobody was taught how to properly handle the cleaning chemicals, either. People just figured it out as they went, mixing things the wrong way, breathing fumes they shouldn’t have been anywhere near. Anyone who asked questions, tried to follow the rules, or expressed concern about safety was treated like a problem.
The management played a huge part in how bad things were. Some managers would disappear for long (hopefully just smoke) breaks and leave the rest of us scrambling to handle a rush alone. Employees were regularly forced to stay hours past their scheduled shifts, even when they had already worked long days or had somewhere they needed to be. Breaks were often skipped even if you worked over eight hours. Harassment and bullying were ignored entirely. Favoritism was obvious, certain people got whatever shifts or treatment they wanted while others were left exhausted, yelled at, or punished for things they didn’t do. Schedules changed at the last minute without warning, and employees were pressured into working even when they were sick, something that should never happen in food service.
Managers yelled at staff in front of customers. Refunds and complaints were often handled with unprofessional attitude, especially by certain managers who responded to legitimate concerns with sass instead of solutions. Online and mobile orders were treated like an inconvenience, pushed aside, made sloppily, or ignored until someone finally felt forced to deal with them. Staff sometimes made fun of customers, which wasn’t right but was caused by how toxic the work environment was.

A while ago I placed an online order and on the app I didn’t see ghost pepper ranch. So when got there I asked them about it and the lady at the window said they still have it but they charge 50¢ for it because it comes in a bigger size. I paid for it but instead of 50¢ they charged me a whole dollar. They handed me the sauce and I quickly put them in my bag because I realized I was holding up the line. When I got home I checked my bags and I noticed I had no ghost pepper ranch but rather the hot and spicy ranch they offer on their app FOR FREE. I paid 1 dollar for a sauce they discontinued and the lady lied to my face and scammed me. I was really sad and disappointed because I do enjoy this Wendy’s, especially the night crew. I don’t understand how a mix up like this happened but I’m sad to say I will no longer dine here.

I like my order pretty customized. I said it twice at the order window exactly how I wanted it and of course, when I got up to the window, it was wrong and when I told the manager, she had a whole lot of attitude about it and I don’t understand that when I wasn’t in the wrong, they were never again while I go back to the store. It’s not worth it. It’s not worth the attitude. It’s not worth the ignorant people and the food was wrong.
