I don't know if it's just a no one in Utah grew up on coffee thing, or teenagers being in charge, but milk is burnt every time.

I showed up at 5am which is the time you are supposed to be open and no one was there. I waited until 5:20 and not one person showed up! This normally doesnt happen. Im a little disappointed. I do understand things happen but as a business you should have a back up plan.

Every barista is so friendly, even at 5:30 in the morning! It's so refreshing and I look forward to it every time I go. Thank you for adding a little sunshine to my morning routine ☀️

I been having a bad experience with this location all the time ! I always try to give it a second try since it’s closer to where I live but I refuse to go back here ! The employees are so rude and get mad when you don’t tip them . They always get my order wrong and NEVER give me what I ordered! I pay for what I’m asking not for what they want to give me . They always take sooo long to take your order I will no longer be coming back to the Orem location. Provo is the go too ! Save yourself that trip .

Since Dutch Bros opened its location in Orem, I’ve preferred to buy my coffee there—even over Starbucks. However, what I experienced today completely changed my perspective, and I will not return to this establishment. Yesterday, a group of junior high students (approximately 12–14 years old) held a peaceful protest against what they view as discriminatory measures related to ICE. I can attest to this because my 13-year daughter was part of it. Today, when I arrived to pick up my coffee, I heard a customer speaking with an employee about that protest. The customer said she felt afraid for her safety and claimed what the kids did was “wrong.” While I disagree, she is entitled to her opinion . What was concerning was the employee’s response. Instead of simply listening or remaining neutral, the employee agreed with the customer and added comments along the same lines, including statements like, “what’s happening with these people is delicate,” and supporting the idea that what occurred was “vandalism.” To the best of my knowledge, there were no violent incidents during the march, so those characterizations feel unfair and stigmatizing. People are free to share their opinions. However, when someone is on the clock and representing a business, their comments can be perceived as reflecting the company’s values. I don’t know whether Dutch Bros shares those views or tries to remain neutral, but it is clear to me that there is a lack of training on how to handle sensitive conversations without resorting to generalizations or language that can be perceived as discriminatory. For my part, I will not purchase coffee from this establishment again, and I encourage my community to consider doing the same. In addition, our firm will evaluate whether formal action is appropriate, including a potential discrimination complaint, if warranted. It’s sad, but necessary.
